he bought 3,000. they sent him 3,068. he has only lost 44 to date (17 days since release). went by to look today. the ducks are beginning to fly but do not know how to land (funny). they are flying into the 4-wheeler, crashing into trees and crashing into the rice field just by the break while chasing the food to the next feeding sight..

Sounds like an idiot to me, any of you geniuses stop to think about how much grain 3,000 ducks can go through? They will be fat and gone by opening morning unless they have clipped wings. What a douche fest.

no need to get upset. give the guy a break. he even has health papers on these ducks (for the fellow who is worried about disease). these holes and breaks are already leased.he knows everyone will not be interested in this but he thinks there are enough people who will like it and fill his leases. plus he is having a blast watching them grow. I can only look at them from far away with binoculars. only one human is allowed close to feed and then he leaves. the ducks are skittish just like regular wild ducks. i know at least one employee of delta wildlife and at least one game warden are advising and guiding him every step of the way. They both hope this works. I know the locals do to. many of them would love to see happy duck hunters here spending their hard earned money in their hunting stores, restaurants, etc. As to how much feed they eat a day, he told me 500 lbs. but hopes the ducks will partake of some of the free food in the break before long. Also, the wings are not clipped and no other bands or markings will be on them. the ducks will stay very close to the break and not be in any farmers field.

I have been on a "wing shoot" where you stood on a pier and shot birds as they flew down to the lake. Since it was a wing shoot you were aloud to take home ten birds per day. you shot from 6:30 till 8:30 so at 10:00 they would let all the birds come down to the lake while they had you at other lakes fishin or shooting clays. The owners said that they bought 30,000 mallard hatchlings a year. this was a wing shoot not a duck hunt, but was fun to realize how bad a shot I was. :? The second time I went I took my dog and gave him one heck of a work out retrieving the birds for the other guys. This sounds like it would be called a duck hunt/wing shoot.

No, the word HUNT should not be associated with this in any way. Its a disgrace is what it is, I don't care how wild they act. I got a cow that is wild as a deer, wanna come hunt her? Absolutely pathetic

No disrespect to you water, I just feel these guys are doing it for all the wrong reasons.

And wait till the sticky gets started of '10-'11 season pics. These "hunters" will have straps full of tamed ducks with poo on their face trying to look like hardcore hunters

stfu!!! Quit hating on bama people. DANG!!!

Cant you people just quit it not all people from ALABAMA aren't bad. Duck hunting is Duck hunting doesn't matter where your from. Its about the love of waking up on those 2 a.m. morning when other people are still asleep ,its about walking or driving countless hours/minutes, its about sitting there on the coldest days of the year when other folks are in businesses with/without heat (still warmer). People its not about: How people come all over the country to any state. everybody should be proud of other people coming to there state wanting to duck hunt so i would take that as a compliment if some one came to my stomping grounds because they heard about the great hunting i had i wouldn't shun them away as if i was greedy. I would say thanks so quit being so DANG mean to other people..

that is all

I think there use to be a place like this around Dewitt a good while back. I am wanting to say these birds were released each day from a coupe or something. I am pretty sure they would follow the atv back in each day.
