  Someone please tell me this is a damn joke!

David and Heather had joined us in Jackson for one of the first meet and greet nights out at Old Venice Pizza. They were a great team and she seemed to support him in all that he did. He got the MSDucks snow goose hunt up after meeting Adam L. of Bayou DeView outfitters on a hunt he made over there and they became fast friends. He proposed to Adam an idea about having a group of us hunt over there and we would not need any guides or cooks, just a place to sleep. Adam went for it and I along with about 18 others off here joined David and had one of the best weekends of hunting, fun, fellowship, and good eats that I have ever been a part of as far as a hunt weekend goes. He loved putting the subsequent hunts together and we all looked foward to his yearly post to start up the list(some of us would jump the gun and try and start it ourselves just to be 1st. on that list). David was well liked by everyone and I am proud to have known him, Heather, and Patrick. We watched Patrick grow up and be David's best hunting partner and sidekick. I never saw David around town(DU, DW, or Sportsmen Extravaganza events) with out Heather and Patrick by his side!
Rest well, good friend. The snow goose population can rest a little easier. As Patrick gets older, he can hunt with us MSDukers anytime he wants. We know you taught him well, David. He had a great teacher. Be at peace, Brother.

Patrick and I would like to thank you for all the kind words that you have about our David. We loved him so much and he is greatly missed. Please just keep the prayers coming because we are going to need them. We have enjoyed all the years that we have spent with the Duck South Gooose Hunt and hopefully it will be something that we can do in his memory one day! That's what he would have wanted.....

Heather,
We are all so sorry for your's and Patrick's loss. I know he loved you both more than you'll ever know.
I reply again because after reading this thread at 3:30 in the a.m.(got off watch at midnight) I could not go to sleep until about 5am. Thoughts racing through my mind were many but one crystalized as an idea of a memorial annual snow goose hunt to be forever more know as The David Spairs Memorial MSDucks Snow Goose Hunt. We would do him proud to keep that going. I made the first two years and have not been able to go since because of work sched. but every year I look foward to finding out the dates to see if I CAN go!
God be with and keep you and Patrick at this time of dispair. You need anything just ask on this board and we will try our damndest to help you in any way we can. Prayers sent.
