I'm with ya on the model 12's, LOVE em, they don't make pumps like that anymore. I love autos too, RELIABLE ones, and my old mag-12 A-5 keeps on chuggin.

870= mostdependablebestdayumgunyouwilleverown

its funny you say that about 3-4 cause my dad has an 870 wingmaster that he got new when he was 12 and now he is 53 so that makes the gun hmmmmm 41 and has NEVER had a problem and its been pounded on like..... well use your imagination

I just recently bought a berretta 391 and like it but my 870 still holds a place in my heart.

heard and seen alot of horror stories about benilli wont own one. My personal favorite is people who pull their trigger and the barrel flies off along with the ducks. More than one person says that and Benilli being the high dollar company says send us the barrel(which could be in the gulf by now) and we will warranty it but will be months.

True about the 870's longest production run of a gun ever built without a major change! But these newer supermags are taking more than the older one ever had in them! With the same basic mechanicles. The benellies The Berettas the Browings and the Super X's are all good guns. They just require more maintenence that's all. Hell I have 870's freeze so tight you could beat the breach open! Any of em will put you down if you don't take care of em. But you go out and feed any of em, pumps autos any repeating type of shotgun, a constant diet of heavyload 3.5" inch shells they are going to give up on you sooner than later! They don't build a gun that can withstand that kind of pressure day in and day out! You put 30 cartons of 3.5" 1 9/16 oz Drylocs thru an 870 and see what falls out of it! If it makes it that far! I've got one at 3 years had to put ejectors and and extractors in at 4 years had to replace the hammer Not to mention 3 stocks in 5 years. 1 forearm 2 magazine springs. and you can't keep it tight now. It's worn slap out! Have another one that's on it's 3rd season and already put a stock and a hammer in it!. But the bennelies and berettas only seem to get 20 to 25 cartons before they have the same problems not to mention the bolts that break or the barrel rings that come off! They simply cannot take it!
