Well we went to Muscadine Tuesday and got 2 shovelers and shot 2 mallards, lost one. Lots of birds in the pits before daylight just like the other post said. Left @ daylight and only a few came back. One of the guys that were also hunting that day asked why all the ponds didnt have food planted in them, some did and some didnt. The fella taking all the info and getting us drawed for the hunt said that they had plenty of resources but no one to do the work planting them. Most of the birds are roosting there, most headed southeast @ the crack of dawn. Saw lots of snow geese and cormmorants flying around. We did work a few birds though and had a good time

Good fella working the check station and easy walking too the pits. I cant figure out why the ducks roost there and then leave too go elsewhere too feed, some of the pits did have standing corn in them.
You fellas that are going up there in the future go and watch the ducks pile in @ sunset. Most comming from Yazoo Refuge direction.
We stopped to aksed the guys that were working in the hardware store @ hollandale where a good place was too eat. I asked them about the ducks and us not seeing that many flying Monday afternoon. He told me that he had went down to Yazoo refuge a couple of days before and, (this guy duck hunt too), said that if there was 1 bird in there, there must have been @ least 50,000 in the refuge ponds.

well i guess we know where some of them are now.
