4 limits of mallards, 2 gads, 1 wigeon today. Great opening weekend.

Opening am.....never fired a shot....two hunters in a jam up brake....one that is proven, year in and out....just didn't not see any ducks...none in the sky past about 7:30......this am...two shots, two woodies and that was it.....
Overall, where I was at in the Delta, there wasn't any....and I mean any ducks to speak of....didn't see a hundred gads in the past two days total....no flight ducks....very, very few mallards.....we came home today and I'm workin' on a drunk after watchin' Mississippi State break it off in Ole Miss!!!!!!!

Killed three woodies quick yesterday morning. No sign of any greenies.
Took my wife and kids this morning and somebody beat me to the spot. We had to settle for a backup plan which was no plan at all. Saw a few big ducks, none working.

Opening morning killed 10 mallards and 8 gadwalls three men and this morning killed 4 mallards 3 gadwalls and 4 woodies with two guys

4 hunters: 5 mallards, 1 bluewinged teal, 1 gaddy, and 4 or 5 ringnecks for the freezer (to work doggie with in off season)

5 hunters: 8 teal, 4 gaddies, 2 wigeon, 1 woodie, and 1 ringneck all by 8, then saw the mallards but none wanted to work us

Friday stunk, but Saturday was pretty good I think we ended up with 5 maybe 6 Mallards, 6 Gadwalls, a Woodie, and a BWT.
I didn't hunt today, but the same hole produced 6 Mallards and 5 Gadwalls.

2 of us limited out on greenheads and had gadwalls for scraps...

We got a group of 5 mallards 6 feet off the water @ 18 yds........the season has started-off good for no more birds than there seems to be right now. And to have a group of mallards 'WORK' for a change (especially this early) gives me hope.
