Didn't look to good today. Alot of rice alot more water and very few birds. Its not too good of a sign when the water isn't cold enough to need waders to brush the pit a week into November. I don't think we need to prepare for the opening morning freeze like last year with this global warming.

I am going to go check our stuff out this weekend hopefully I will see some ducks, and yes, i will take hollywood mallards this early in the season.

All I can say is that
1)Better bust their booty opening weekend because after that the few ducks we have will be scattered all over creation. Most in the Mississippi river I'd imagine.
2)Get a good deer lease because it will be a tough waterfowling winter.

I was in Philipp, MS all day Saturday and didn't see a single duck.

3 woodrows in the brake all day Saturday.

Just left Illinois deer hunting in Fulton County. Saw a some geese but not hardly and ducks at all besides about 2 million coots. Things are looking good the amount of water they have flooding all the ag land it's going to be hard this year.

I was right across the river from Vicksburg saturday afternoon brushing some blinds. I saw a couple of BIG groups on teal, several hundred wood ducks, and a few gadwall. LOTS & LOTS of water

Saturday I was in SE AR brushing and pumping pits in / near Lake Village, McGee and AR City saw very few birds. Saw a few flocks of specs and a few snows. Was really dissappointed. May skip opening weekend and deer hunt if it doesn't get any better

Deer hunting wasn't to good it was hot and the full moon was the main problem. Some people had a good week though. They killed a 201, 147, and some 130s. I had 2 real good encounters with a 160 inch classer but couldn't ever get it done. Can't wait to go back in December.
