For the record, I like thier music but the only reason anyone heard Natalie's first amendment right to an opinion was because we gave her an audience by buying thier records and attending their concerts.

I will exercise my freedom by not being a part of that audience again. She can spout off her liberal trash all she wants. I just hope no one is there to hear it.

So she said something she shouldn't have and she apologized?

Whats the big deal?

No one on this site has ever said something they regreted?

I can guarantee each person has a movie, cd, or BOOK in their house of someone who has said something that does not agree with their own political, moral, or religous beliefs.

Don't want to go to their concerts? Good. That will just allow others to go who couldn't go in the past because it was sold out. (and by the way, they wil continue to sell out arenas and make platinum records).

To hold such a huge grudge is idiotic.

I think your missing the point webbmaster. The Dixiechicks made a ridiculous statement at a time when the US didn't need anymore idiotic quotes from Hollywood. They realize what they did was a mistake. They are concerned about how their comment will effect them in the long run. In my opinion, it will effect them one way or another. What they said shows me how imature they actually are.

Take your blinders off people!!!

You obviously missed my point. Why is something a celebrity said so much different than what your neighbor said? You might disagree with them but that doesn't make you want to trash their yard or not invite them to the neighborhood party.

In this case, they are making MUSIC. Music...it's good for your soul. Again, if you have any cd, movie, or book in your house, odds are you don't see eye to eye on some beliefs with the artist, actor, writer, etc.

They are women! What do you expect? They made a mistake. They apologized. Deal with it.

Isn't their a biblical quote about casting a stone?

Psssssst....oh, and I am pro-Bush, so if you can't provide some type of meaningful or objective post without asking if I am Al Gore, why bother?

Webbmaster, I and thousands of others are going to deal w/ it. We aren't going to listen or purchase anything they have!!! They apologized only cause they felt they had to!! Not because they felt like they needed to. They cast the 1st stone.........now we will cast the 2nd stone.

Reality is that she has influence over many people....She gets this influence by singing...Should people be influenced by her just because she sings...NO...She has to realize that is a burden that goes along with being a star...If she didnt want that responsibility then she shoulnt have started selling records...She cant have her cake and eat it to(from the looks of her, she eats the other two cakes in the group also)...If she wants to be a celebrity, she has to accept the fact that what comes out of her mouth has more effect on people than ours because of her status...Is that right...no...but it is true....The timing and venue were very bad to make a statement like that...The president probably didnt think twice about it, but he needs his mind on other things than that
