My goal with Pete is for "us" both to stay off the couch so we will be in better shape next fall! Ok, I will be in better shape. Any improvements in retrieving will be a bonus.
Main thing is to enjoy more time together.

You gotta quite chasin' that little white ball around......

Daylights savings will kick in before long, and we will be having those after work duck tossing sessions.

I wish you would consider running some hunt tests with us this year Roach.

I new to the group and to Hunt Tests. I've got a 1.5 yr CLF, Lady, that I will be running in her first test at the WMHRC in several weeks. She did great this past duck season, and I'm looking forward to working her for the games

Its been about 3 years since Teal titled and then we went back to being British. I'm thinking about getting her back into training with some big dogs and seeing what she can do.

My puppy might get to run something in about 5 years after he settles down. He's a freakin' animal. On force to pile he actually attacks the bumper growling at it when he snatches it up.

Travis, I know what you mean with Char. Her brother made me lose a lot of my hair. I bet if you let her play her game she'll do well- it made a huge difference with Raider moving the action away from the line and letting him run long.

My goal for the spring is a grand pass. I'll be running west MS and Southern Flight and training the rest of the weekends for the grand. I wish i would be the one to run him in the grand but school finals are preventing me from that. May try the am SRS event but not sure yet. I hope that everyone has a great spring and accomplish their goals. Train hard but smart. Can't wait to see all of you at the test grounds.

Clean up casting/lining in the water. Keep training for Finished tests and finish up SH.

Mark, how is Ms. Ellie Mae doing? You run many finished/senior test this past fall?

Well, because of financial reasons, I had to pull Buck out out of training. He got his HR last fall and ran his first finished test at L'Anguille. Did fine on the first land series and then the wheels fell off. We hunted most of the season and it appears as if we are gonna have to go back and fix a bunch of things.

Time, training, and money permitting, I'd like to run him in finished this spring and possible by the end of fall, have his CH done. He's got one senior pass, and if I can find the right tests, wouldn't mind running him in senior.

One other goal is to find a good group training buds and spend more time training, and staying motivated to do things on my own when I cant train with others.

I don't know much about this dog thing, but one thing I do know is this: If your gonna have a nice dog, you HAVE to hold him to the same standards in hunting as you do in training, else you will have ruined a bunch of hard and expensive training! Learned that this past season.

We did not run any Finished tests this fall. Did not think we were strong enough on ticky tacky water blinds. Gonna take a shot at it this spring and finish up SR before duck season this year. Hopefully can get Finished and SH before duck season this year, and then work on a Master pass next year. No worries if I don't hit my timetable goals. I have all the time in the world. Want to get it right, and earn them.
