Wingman, you must have had last year's season in mind when you mentioned the "countless thousands of hunts and hundreds of ducks". See you tomorrow morning.

Well, it could be 'cause I'm black...nah, but I do have curly hair! Or, it could be that I took the name because I wind up having to eat so much of it... correct, but not in this case! Well, it could be that I admire the intelligence of the bird and that reminds me of myself...not! I guess it's just the first 4 letters of my last name. Sometimes, things just ain't all that complicated!

My name came from when my wife called me HONEY one time in front of our three sons, or something close to that..........let's see, she called me a SYRUP SOPPING GOAT ROPER. Wasn't that sweet and it was almost as good as honey. I thought so and the name - Goat Roper stuck. I think it means a nice ole country bumpkin.

Well, it all began one night after a few shots of Old Charter, when I dozed off in my recliner while watching a segment on duck breeding habits on the Animal Planet channel. During my slumber, I had a vision of what might happen if a hooded merganser got a hold of a little old squaw ----voila ----an Ole Bufflehead, a flamboyant, wise-ass mutant duck with superior brain power and the sensitivity of a trial lawyer, able to quell the incoherent mutterings of the mentally challenged with a few strokes of the keyboard.
