I always thought it was funny when people thought he got his screen name from a 4 wheeler! LOL It would always piss him off. He truly was a 450lb sportsman and he was proud of it. You will be missed not only for your humor but your knowledge of the outdoors and he always had a good recipe to try. God bless

Mike and I were the perfect example of two guys that took the internet too seriously. This forum is a lot more enjoyable when you don't take everything quite as personally as you might face to face. I like to think that Sportsman 450 and I kind of taught each other that. I know that he did teach me that. After we buried the hatchet, we exchanged PM's regularly (though not as regularly as some, the man was a PM'ing machine) and he was as nice a guy as I've met here. I've still got some of the calanders he made for me with some photos of hunts that I sent him. When I got on the deer forum and expressed an interest in picking up bowhunting, it was Mike who helped guide me through the process of getting started. I honestly believe he was as excited as I was when I sent him that PM saying that I'd stuck my first deer.
At least now he can get back to Delta National, lean against a tree and watch 'em pour in before heading in to Satartia and the Davis Grocery. Rest in peace bud.
