not sure why he wouldnt go out in a contender... we make trip often in 16-17 flats boats...something is not right there...

Hmm, could possibly be thinkin of another island -- or maybe a particular occasion when things turn ugly. I'll have to ask.

I have a 23ft Champion with a 225 Merc. No cap rolled fiberglass cause it is easier to clean. Nice boat but a little heavy. Which is nice in a chop but damn it will burn the trolling motor battery up
