First FB post for me this year. Not sure about B.S.'s character or work ethic but it appears he is a little on the lazy side. When/if he becomes eligible what are the odds that same work ethic shows up on the practice field? Not too many people have the willingness or determination to change their ways. State's QB works hard but I'm not sure he's going to be that good, Ole Piss' hopeful QB is good but doesn't work hard. Looks like another year of running the ball for both teams and empty stands!
On a side note glad there's some bickering and bashing going on again. This place was starting to get boring! Can't wait 'til September! Oh yeah, Go To He11 Ole Piss!!!!

yea mottlet I know their gonna suck but atleast I'll get to go to the first game this year and also make the first day of dove season, although these past few years the doves have won the coin toss. but hey I love to cook on the grill and socializing with friends I may only see that time of year, more than I do going to the game. my favorite quote from a good friend of mine "I'm not gonna let a buncha 20 year old boys I don't even know losin ruin my night....mix me another drink dirty." He said that as we were getting back to the tailgate after a loss about three years ago....been pretty much our tailgating motto ever since.
work hard, play hard

Yep, here we go again ---- all of you forward your proof of cheating to the NCAA infractions committee ---until then, it ain't nothing but brain farts.
Jeff, I'm not sure I would call BS "lazy" at this point ---especially considering the kid has been taking a heavy load of course work to catch up since last fall semester. Granted, he made his own bed when he left UT in the middle of the spring semester of '05 without staying to finish his courses, but since that time he has been in school catching up with a large course load, played an entire fall of football, and focused on getting eligible. I just don't think his progress was going as fast at home with his last two needed courses as the UM coaches wanted or were comfortable with, especially with August practice looming.
I'm just not going to fall into this trap of demonizing this young man before he ever arrives on campus. Fans of opposing schools can do this all they want ---but, I'm not going to start eating our own until I see justification for it. Right now, there is not much. And his teamates will be the ultimate judge of Brent's ability to jell with the team and his leadership abilities. He will have to earn his teamates respect, just as any new player would ---there is no shortcut to this process. Whether there will be future problems remains to be seen. Wish he was already here at UM. But, if he is here for fall practice, then such is better than him not being here at all. And even if he is not ready to start against Memphis, he will likely help us greatly this season and next year.
And, I have never heard any Reb fan mention BS and the Heisman Trophy in the same breath. If they did, they are clearly mentally unstable. With there being so many legitimate things to criticize Ole Miss about these days, there is no need to create and attack a straw man.
While I would not have named BS the "starter" if I had been the Rebel head coach, I am not going to BBQ the coach over semantics ---- I think he clearly simply meant that BS would come in being the man to beat. And I think that is true whether Coach O publicly said it or not ---just look at each QB's comparative experience.
While I can understand the UM fans agonizing over BS's status due to our need for great improvement at the QB position, I really cannot understand all the obsession about him by our rival's fans, unless they know that UM will be much better with BS in the saddle than otherwise.
Sort of like their apparent obsession with our head coach.
