I've wondered where the quote "Ya ever work beef Billy" came from until I saw the classic movie the other day. I laughed when I heard it and my wife looked at me like I had lost what little mind I had left.
"Chavez out there doing it with his horse"
Coot count. My apologies.

The other day on the way to Jackson two mallard drakes in a ditch on the side of the road. Could not believe it right on the side in a little water puddle.

Several years ago my son was playing in a soccer tournament in Memphis and had a game at the old Coors brewing plant off of Shelby Dr. It had rain really hard that night and when we got to field at 8:00 a.m. there were mallards sitting on the field in about 3-4 inches of water.

about to cross the highway, 2 different times.
The 1st was somewhere probably 20 miles from the nearest duck hunting spot. the 2nd was next to busy highway by a mall about a mile from a major lake. the first were speckalbelly geese and gosnlings. the 2nd was either a black duck, mallard hen, or summer faised greenhead.

In the entrance at the University of Wisconsin School of Law in Madison, Wisc. this summer - two greenheads - I guess trying to sign up for classes.
