That is it. They kill many deer. Most of their terrain resembles ours closely, and I was wondering how well clubs in the same area faired and what they killed.

I had heard that he had purchased land surrounding Rodney lake. What seems odd is that there still seem to be lots of hunters there for that much land to be owned by a non hunter. Does he allow hunting on his property?

Springhill boy that is tough hunting in the hills ain't it. Boelte bought the southern 3/4 of Buena Vista Island and the land inside of Rodney Lake. There are still landowners that have access to Rodney Lake other then him. That is why you see people hunting down there and you still see all of those camps on Rodney Lake.

Ahh, that was how I was misinformed. "All of the land surrounding the lake" and "the land inside it" are very different!

And yes it is pretty tough hunting in those hills. Not nearly as tough as trailing a wounded deer thru those hills, though. :D

I don't know if you have seen the construction site yet but he is about to build a bridge across Rodney Lake like the build across Coles Creek. This cat is first rate all the way.

Really? A ford? I have tried to ride out to the lake, but could never seem to find what looked like a half-way public road out to it. I would love to ride around down there sometime, but don't know where I can and can't go, legally. Seems like the last time I was down that way, I came to a very rickety old bridge that I was afraid to drive across. Is this the location of the new one?
