Also, see "kneebooter." Never gets over knee deep when hunting.

well, lets just say this...if you use 3+ dozen decoys in a timber hole, you're probably a topwater....

if you have to carry more batteries than shotgun shells you might be a topwater....

If you think that Mossy Oak (or another famous brand) Camo is gonna help you kill more ducks, you might be a topwater....

If you own one of those "shaker" feedcall contraptions, you might be a topwater....

If you blow highball calls for 3 hours without a bird in the sky hoping to "call some in" you might be a topwater.... (or on the same note if you take binoculars to the blind and then blow highballs at the birds you see, you might be a topwater)....

As for the waxed cotton hats...that's got nothin' to do with topwater...unless you buy a new one every season....

WOW. It is a a pure privilege to be in the presence of so many gifted duck hunters. Men who apparently never had to learn any of the tough lessons of waterfowling on their own. Guess you all were born natural born waterfowlers. Amazing that you dispense such "knowledge" for free.

Thanks for the definition and the education!

Dead on Dead eye- I joined this site because I enjoy duck hunting in Mississippi, and thought it would be fun to interact with some folks that share my love for the sport. Never have I come across a bigger bunch of self-righteous A-holes in my life. I hope you act differently when your on the water- it's easy to be an A-hole anonymously from behind your computer, and if thats how you conduct yourself on a regular basis...then have a nice life.

Heck, I've been posting on here for 3 1/2 years and I'm still too scared to try hunting in Mississippi. I'm afraid my old 4Runner might get torched at the boat ramp by the El-Camino crew when they see my Alabama tag and all the duck stickers on my back window. You guys are just big ol' meanies and should really try to be more sensitive.

dsmo2f-------This is the mentality of the gomers you're dealing with.

If ya blow your goose call at cornamints, ya might be a topwater.

CORNAMINTS, CORNAMINTS!, WE TALKIN ABOUT CORNAMINTS?

What the ???? Must be some kind of new thing in the delta. A cousin of ubiquitous CORNNUT so beloved by our crimson necked purveyors of waterfowling.

IT'S CORMORRANT you fool, AKA-water tukey
