Looking for 2 duck calls from Dominic Serio of Greenwood (ones for Novacaine)

Without question... hunting a week with Longleaf, Coach Hankins, Delta Duck, Greg, Justin and Hunter. Always the highlight of duck season.. good friends and good times.

Agreed. My most memorable hunt of the year in Miss. too - and we didn't even bag anything.

That canada goose from friday whipping my labs booty.

I thought I folded him....and when rowdy jumped on him he honked and it was on.......all i saw was wings flapping upside my labs head.

Needless to say I doubt he'll ever want to pick up a canada again, no probs with snows and blues though.

The first is my 10 yr old taking his first duck, a woodie. What a neat experience. Also, my new choc. lab retrieving his first duck. Taking three of my son's friends and letting them kill their first duck. I get more enjoyment out of watching my son and his friends and watching my dog work than I do anything else.

Friends, family and place - it was all good, a season to be long remembered.

Most memorable?

Spent a cold morning in the boat with a couple of buddies this morning. Those of you that were hunting know the story - blustery cold.

Me, Chuckles12 and another buddy met at camp at 0430, hooked up teh boat and headed to teh creek. It was cold. After applying some starter fluid, I demonstrated the proper method of cranking an outboard to chuckles12 by putting the motor in nuetral BEFORE I yanked teh cord with all my might . As we were shoving off, our buddy said he could feel a cramp coming on but we paid him no mind.

We got several miles up creek, literally we would soon learn, and into the location and started putting out dekes. Buddy said he had to go. Bad. Wait until the dekes are out I told him. He tested the water depth with a paddle to confrim that it was indeed to deep foir him to bail off and walk to shore. I figured what the heck, we could pitch dekes and motor him over and he could take his leisure time. It was a bigger cramp as it turns out. Never in all my born days!

Bout midway through, buddy shucks his waders quick as if they were on fire, hangs over the gunnels and yells hellfire. Thank GOD the wind was gale force and the blind was down. Me and Chuckle12 kept pitching decoys. It was kindo funny when he asked if anyone had toilet paper!

Buddy had not 1 but 2 mojos that supposedly float on an innertube of sorts. After about 10 minutes, he managed to get the wings spinning on 1 and set it out. After another 10 minutes, he gave up on mojo two and shined the light at Mojo 1, which was upside down and completely submerged. No mojo after all.

About the time we get the boat arranged and the blind up and settle into shooting time, buddy gets another cramp. He promptly goes to his spot on teh gunnels and lets it all out. Sounded like he sold his asssss to teh devil and was glad - real glad - Chuckle was downwind and not me. Bout the time he gets finished and stands up, some ducks swing towards us and in our haste to raise the blind, knock buddy (who still has waders around ankles but has lurched suddenly to grab for shotgun) soundly in the head. Depite the ensuing debacle, we still managed to knock a bird down.

Somewhere between his 4th and 8th visit to the makeshift john on the side of the boat, buddy had grown pretty accustomed to bearing it all in front of the new hunting partner, hanging his big fat booty over the boat, giving the devil his due and flaring birds in the process. Me and Chuckle, of course, offered words of encouragment to our buddy to help make the situation more tolerable (for us anyways): "I'll bet that wind is chapping that white booty"..."good thing your jr sized or it'd stick to the boat"...."what would you pay for some nice, soft tp right about now"..."want Mexican for breakfast"..."your inability to shoot ducks compensates for your lack of endowment". C'mon man, you know that ice cold aluminum was so cold it seared his flesh when he sat on it!!

After 10th time he seemd to have it out of his system and we hunted earnestly. Managed 3 birds, 2 of which were bluewings, but had plenty of laughs at buddy's expense.

Have decided to hold off on telling him I found some tp in my bag later. I'll bet he packs his own next time! Chuckle12 is probably scarred for life!

Yea I hate to say it, but I'm kinda glad that SBE feel apart. Dang that thing was loud on the first.

9 year old boy and father on their first duck hunt. Greenhead drops in the decoys. I ease the top of the blind down mallard jumps up. Youngster fires 12 ga shoots under the ole greenhead. Kick of that 12 ga knocks him backwards 2 steps 12ga discharges again from hip and kills greenhead dead. I will remember the look on father and sons face for the rest of my life PRICELESS

That is exactly the story I was gonna post, along with:

Fat mallard drake hovering over the decoys 15 yards away and me going "lemme shootem, lemme shootem, lemme shootem", I hear "take 'em" and I proceed to empty my gun, BAM! BAM! BAM! missed all three shots at a fathead from 15 yards away  . Then redeeming myself with dukbum and I taking down the 2 teal that buzzed the dekes while Ramrod is messing with Delta. :D

It was the best seasons I've had in 5 years. Good hunts, enough birds to last a while, plenty of memorable moments and good company.
