I think thats a great idea 99Beers99beers wrote:As board participation wanes, it good thought to consider condensing the board. Just too many sub forums. I hate to wander thru big message boards. Consider down sizing please to keep things together and active!! jmho
I am interested in purchasing duck calls that were made by Mike McLemore. I am a family member and they have a sentimental value.

I only use the New Post feature too.Smoke68 wrote:Likewise. I check the board 3-4 times a day and keep up just fine. Only thing is, dog-gone classifieds don't show up in New Post list.gps4 wrote:99beers wrote:As board participation wanes, it good thought to consider condensing the board. Just too many sub forums. The only sub forum I checkout is the "new posts" subforum.
Did not realize that classifieds do not show up there.
Rocky should be able to fix that glitch.
What say ye Rocky?

Re: Has Social Media killed DS?
New post button is what I use and find it very handy on all forums. Maybe we could make the classifieds show up there also?

Pewee!! Did you say you don't have time to post on here cause work??? HA HA HA HA..now that's funny. most of us know where you work.... The retirement center downtown as it is locally referred to!peewee wrote:I think fb has a little to do with it but I think our core group has taken on more life responsibilities and there just isn't the time for posting a lot. I know my work schedule has increased as well as family time as the kids have gotten older. I miss the days when we used to have get togethers at Old Venice etc.

It is what I said since the beginning. I took away a few when I took over and some users got outraged. What can we combine and get rid of? I am all for it.RedEyed Duck wrote:I think thats a great idea 99Beers99beers wrote:As board participation wanes, it good thought to consider condensing the board. Just too many sub forums. I'm all for condensing the forums, too. New Posts is all I ever hit unless I'm searching some old thread.
Here's the funny thing about FB (not on other social media), you scroll through pages and pages of garbage for each interesting thing that comes along. And I'm pretty good about setting notifications priorities. Still overwhelmed with crap. For the time spent, the forums have more interesting info.
Where FB has the forum beat is in the controls: refresh, swipes to the main feed, etc. it has set the new user interface standard. If the board had the same controls, I think we'd see more activity. No easy feat though.

Never assume.
