Is it the biggest game in 50 years for Ole Miss?

You can link all the articles and stats you want.

Is that true?

Don't worry about me...i've seen much bigger games than this one...
I pointedly and directly in my first line of response agreed with you about it not being the biggest game in 50 years for Ole Miss.

Images like this one that really fit the bill...they are better than cute, don't you agree?

I agree. And I appreciate you spending the time to post them along with other meaningless articles.

Are you guys gonna tear down the goal posts at your stadium again if you win?

They don't have many statues in Oxford. I can understand why.

Oh the hilarity that would ensue if Ole Miss wins and Ole Miss fans tear down the Bear and Saban statues. There would no doubt be gunfire.

The Confederate soldier statue on the square tips his hat to every female who graduates from Ole Miss a virgin.

Jesus Christ this guy is the stereotypical Alabama fan, annoying, douchey, and probably wearing his Alabama Roll Tide shirt from Walmart with a pair of jorts he's going to wear while sipping on some Busch Lights while watching the game.

When I went to Tuscaloosa a few years ago to watch the Ole Miss v Alabama game, I was prepared to meet the douchebags that we all know that are Alabama fans. It's easy being an Alabama fan after all and its easy to jump on that bandwagon. Yet I was pleasantly surprised, every Alabama fan I met was nice, polite, told us we played a hell of a game, that they were worried about playing us coming in, and even though it was 25-0, a few breaks and it heads a completely different direction.

Flash Forward to last year, we didn't just beat Alabama, we smoked yall even though the refs handed you a free 7 right before half. I met a older man walking out of the stadium, he was all smiles, dressed nicely, very friendly and a Alabama fan. He said we undoubtedly have the best Gameday atmosphere, and that we deserved to win the game because we were the better team. I have friends that are Alabama fans that didn't talk to me / wouldn't answer the phone for a few days after that one. Are ya'll all that butthurt after a loss? I know every fan base has their dicks, but Alabama's seem to run rampant.

Last year emotions ran high, we won in dramatic fashion, beating the refs + the Tide, and we tore down the goal posts, it was fun, its was childish, it was glorious, and the even better part.... WE MADE MONEY OFF TEARING DOWN THE GOAL POSTS. We raised more money in donations than it costs us in the fines + new goal posts, so we coudln't give to $#!+ if it was the first game of the season or the National Championship.

This is a big game for Alabama, this is a big game for Ole Miss. No team can deny it, and you trying to play it off is just silly and makes you look juvenile.

Kelly lights it up, Quincy has a big day over the middle with Alabama's All-American safeties departed, Rebs win 35-20 and lead from wire to wire.

It's the biggest game of the year so far for both teams.

Beyond that, who knows.

My humidor is ready.

I am a little behind so let me try and catch up. Yes this is a big game for both teams. Right now any SEC game is big but obviously this one has big ramifications because both teams are considerd by most "experts" to be favorites to win the west since Auburn is struggling and there are still questions around LSU and A&M. As far as the just another game for Bama it is a half true statement. at this point under Saban Bama has played a lot of "big" games so it is nothing new for them. Not saying it is not a big game but nothing out of the ordinary for a team that has basically been in the top 5 for the past 6 years or so. Now lastly for the comment on ole miss smoking alabama last year could you please elaborate on that? I am a little confused since Ole Miss had to rally in the 4th quarter to an that game and Bama had a good bit more yardage. As a matter of fact I still think had Kiffin stuck with running Yeldon, who was slashing through that great land shark defense, Bama wins that game.

That game was 14-3 at half because of a touchdown the refs handed Bama on the blatant no facemask call, with the ref standing in PERFECT view of it. Look at where the ref is in the gif.

After half Alabama managed 3 points, and the game felt in Ole Miss' control for the entirety of the second half. Should have been a 24-10 game with Bama not scoring in the 2nd half except for a late FG in the 3rd. I'm not saying that as an Ole Miss fan, I'm saying that as a football fan. Ole Miss plays bend don't break defense, have ever since Freeze and Co. came in. They gave up yardage to Yeldon, but held them when it mattered. Ole Miss did what it wanted to in the passing game, against arguably the best defensive secondary in the country, when Alabama KNEW that the Rebs had no run game. Ole Miss torched them on the Vince Sanders TD and the Walton swing pass was run to perfection. And let's not forget Bama's one offensive touchdown for a 4th and 1 conversion. Could have easily been 23-3 game. If this was reversed and Bama would have won everyone would be saying how they dominated ole miss. I love the "great land shark defense" comment, when we lead the nation in scoring D for the season.
