I used to view it as Fox was more conservative and cnn as liberal...now I view it as successful people watch fox and people looking for an out to blame life problems on watch cnn.

Well after watching the first debate my selection process has changed slightly.

Donald is still dead in the water. He's a side show distraction and the only reason he is even there is the media are pushing him on everyone.

My first pick still remains Mike Huckabee, my second selection has changed to Cruz, leaving my third choice to now be Ben Carson. He has his faults, but Rand Paul lost my support last night and looked more like his dad fumbling around and getting frustrated. The only way a Paul will ever be president is if they can clear up their message, not get flustered, and look more presidential. Oh, and do something about that terrible haircut. He should have not fell into the trap of back and forth with Christie and Trump because he lost both of those.

Carli Fiorina may have potential but she is an unknown. I will wait to see how far she goes and how much dirt the media drags up on her.

I'll give you a cliff notes.

They made Trump look like an idiot.
Huck had the best comebacks of the night and best closing remark.
Rubio had the best one liner and mic drop.
Dr. Carson was clearly the smartest man last night with Cruz a close 2nd. Just wished they'd given Carson more opportunities.

If we could throw some fubu on Carson and play some jeezy in the background of his campaign videos he would win easily

And the most important part is, the voters that actually watched, finally saw the idiot Trump truly is and how pasty white and bland Bush is.

You read or listen to all the pundits statements and it's all Trump, Bush and Paul/Christie fight, but when you watch the actual voters reactions and comments in Luntz's focus group they all saw the debate I watched and truly saw who the stars were. Most came in supporting someone else but left supporting Huckabee and Cruz.

I think (and I shouldn't really be listened to, because I'm wrong like, always) the more they debate, the more folks will side with Cruz. For me, it's Cruz, Rubio, Huckabee, Carson, and Paul, in that order, but really it's anybody but Christie or Bush.

Trump is a plant by the Clintons - I am convinced. Slick Willy only won election and re-election because of Perot taking votes from the GOP. I swear I think that the Clintons have placed him in this spot so that he can amass enough support to run third party and usher Hillary into the WH.

As to the debates, I am a huge fan of Ben Carson. If he does not win the nomination (he stands no chance), I certainly hope if the GOP somehow wins they will place him as Surgeon General or something akin thereto. He is great.

I have not been a Rubio fan, but I thought he looked good last night. I have not been a Huckabee fan, but I thought he looked good last night too.

I have been a Paul fan and he looked bad last night.

I also thought that Fiorina looked good yesterday afternoon.

I think a Rubio/Fiorina or Rubio/Kasich ticket would be formidable. With Rubio, you hopefully get latino vote and maybe Florida. Fiorina offsets the female factor and may draw some soccer moms that have been voting in mass for Obama the last two election cycles. Kasich could help carry Ohio if he were on the ticket, which is huge.

I agree.. I watched some of the early debate and all of the 2nd...We have a very diverse and deep bench for sure and I am not sure exactly who I will support yet. But I think it would be great to see the all out there helping straighten this country out. But here are my feelings.. We definitively need a straight talker and someone that is not afraid to tell the truth.. But I also think we need someone with experience running things..

While I like Rubio and Cruz I think they need some more time to "run things" I think either would make great VPs - I would like to see Rubio as VP. He could help with the Hispanic Vote and the FL vote.

I would love to see Cruz as Attorney General.. No doubt he would clean up some government corruption..

Really impressed with Carson last night but I think it would take some time for him to get used to working with the House and Senate.. He is extremely bright and may be the best person to straighten out Health Care - Secretary of Health and Human Services.

I like Huckabee alot, but he may be a little too socially conservative to bring in the independents that we will need to win the White House, but I think he would make a great Secretary of State

One person that was not on the big stage last night was Rick Perry.. While I don't think he has a shot at the white house, I think he would make an excellent Secretary of Homeland Security..

I like Trump's Business sense and I know he would never accept but he or Fiorina would make good Secretary of Commerce who is tasked with "promoting American businesses and industries; the Department states its mission to be "to foster, promote, and develop the foreign and domestic commerce" or maybe Secretary of Treasury...

I also like Santorum, but like Perry I am not sure he has a shot.. He does have a pretty strong stance on Millitary and may be a good fit for Secretary of Defense..

With all that being said for POTUS I am leaning towards Walker, Christie, or Kasich.. All are currently Governors, and while Christie and Kasich are not the most conservative I think they would have the best chance of winning.. Walker and Christie are currently governing in a Blue States and Kasich is governing in probably the most pivotal swing state of Ohio he has also been a US Senator so he has a lot of experience and has a good faith based demeanor.. Walker is probably the most conservative, which may or may not hurt him.. Christie is probably the most liberal, but he is a straight talker and a fighter..

I agree with you on the first part of your comment. He's a plant by someone, not sure if it's Clintons or media to generate more attention and revenue to them, but someone is paying him to be there as a distraction or possible 3rd party run.

Only problem I have with Rubio is this. This country elected a junior senator over 6 years ago and the results haven't been good. I don't think US senators have the leadership skills required to govern. Just my $0.02 I think he has good attributes, but as an overall package I don't think he's there yet. Maybe a few more years to refine himself. Of all of the candidates, there's only 2 that I see that WILL NOT beat Clinton if she runs, and that's Bush and Trump.

I respectfully disagree with that statement. I think it will take a near miracle for any GOP candidate and running mate to beat Clinton due to the changing demographics and mindsets within those demographics. The electoral college makes it almost impossible for the GOP to win now.

Unless the GOP can win Ohio and Florida, they literally stand no chance. Therefore, you have to run candidates that can win those states.

Food for thought, by winning California, New York and Illinois, the democrats have 40% of the electoral votes needed to win the WH. Those states are locked up. If you throw in Florida and Ohio, that number jumps to 56% of the EV needed. When you couple that 56% with the other likely blue states, the Democrats win every time.

The issue here is that the country is morally bankrupt...not just on social issues, but due to the fact we no longer promote or respect work ethic. How does the GOP compete with the Democrats when the GOP promotes more jobs and the Democrats promote not even needing a job?

After watching I am convinced that debate was simply to weed trump out. Before it started they attacked his stance on running as independant and set the stage for how the debate was going to go. We shall see.

One person I'm not seeing anyone talk about is Bobby Jindal. I don't know a whole lot about him, but that man is a genius and seems to have a fairly good track record with what he has done in Louisiana. Why isn't anyone pushing him to the top?

Trump is playing a lot of people for fools. I don't trust the guy 3 feet and he's not a conservative. Wise up and do it quickly.
