Deltamud - Kelly was going to LSU if Ole Miss had not offered.

I heard that Scooba's coach said that LSU had decided to stick with the QBs they currently have on the roster. Either way, it's Ole Miss' gain and LSUs loss - which will probably manifest in the same way when they meet next fall in Oxford.

Why was he kicked off?

He smarted off to the coaches and was released because he displayed "behavior consistent with these actions." I guess it is/was an attitude issue.

Actually, it was more involved than that (second hand knowledge from first hand speaking here). He had numerous verbal altercations with the Clemson staff. Then, during their spring game, he was the holder for a FG at the end of regulation. Dabo called FG, Kelly changed the play with the kicker...told the kicker to run a wheel route...kicker did...Kelly hits him for a TD...B team beats A team.

I hope they cut ties with him...ridiculous...anybody that stupid doesn't deserve the opportunity to be a QB in the SEC or receive a scholarship...all the people taking up for him under legal precedence make me sick too...maybe he didn't actually hit an officer, maybe he it's heavy handed police work, maybe there more facts...whatever, he had everything given to him on a silver platter and he was there and put himself in that situation and that alone is "@#$%#" stupid...I understood Freeze decision and I still support his making it, but this was a no tolerance deal and if he's brought to Oxford after this it's a serious mistake...no way he deserves it...

With Buchanan and/or Kincaide would just nut up and get the freaking job done

mama taught me at an early age that whenever the police ask you to do something, you say "yes, sir" and you do it. that usually keeps the situation from escalating. Sure, the police may have it all wrong, but generally, you live to give your side to the judge if you contest the policeman's version of what happened. it hardly ever turns out good for the guy on COPS who loses his $hit with the responding officers.

simply put...any young man that can't handle himself and his temper...who also can't make smart enough decisions to stay out of the line of fire for trouble simply does not deserve a free education and tryout to be a millionaire down the road...at Ole Miss or anywhere else...there should be a level of accountability far above what actually is for all these guys playing major college football, unfortunately there is not...it should be far more a privilege than a right because of athletic talent.
