I know. I actually clicked on this thread thinking I should mention his calls. These are 2 of my favorites I've seen of his.DrakeDemon wrote:Teul2 you should get moose to turn you one. He makes some awesome ones! Raggio custom calls he's busy turning them everyday.

Charles Grubbs (1848 - 1933) was born in Ohio and moved to Illinois in 1872. He moved to Pascagoula sometime before 1920, and was in Houston, TX by 1928. So he was only here for maybe a decade. And even though he is generally thought of as an Illinois call maker, he made calls here too. So he is a MS maker to me.
Here are two of my newer additions of his. I can't prove when or where either was made (nor can anyone else from what I've been able to tell), but the larger call is definitely one of his later calls. So they are MS calls to me until proven other wise.

A quick overview of Grubbs history if you like that kind of thing.

Dirty Mallards now known as Ryan Custom Calls was featured on WLBT with Walt Grayson. One of his hand crafted calls just placed first at the CWA event in July. Had a nice looking booth at the Wild life Extravaganza and excited about the future.
