Most, if not all, of the wild allegations of Ole Miss recruiting improprieties are coming from a small cauldron of the most obsessed and deranged segment of the MSU fanbase, the members of the MSU chapter of the Harvey Updyke fan club, the credibility of whom are as low as " incarcerated Bob". Lets review the facts shall we.
1. First, it was Robert Nkemdiche. This story was killed, rose from the dead like a vampire, and was finally killed again with a wooden stake through the heart.
2. Then it was Moncrief and Prewitt. Result? Yep, you guessed it, same as usual: Zilch.
3. Then it was CJ Johnson. Per the MSU Barney Fifes, this diabolical Ole Miss plot involved arranging of and purchasing furniture for CJ's Mom from a furniture store owned and run by MSU alums/fans. Seriously? That is just brilliant. Well, the NCAA investigators asked these MSU folks about the alleged furniture plot allegedly carried out by the Nutt brigade, and came up with a big, ol fat bunch of NOTHING. Case concluded. Ground the black helicopters.
4. Now it's Chris Jones, the recruit that signed with MSU. Apparently, according to the MSU chapter of the Harvey Updyke fan club, Jones was tempted with libations, hippity hop music, cash and hoochie mamas by Ole Miss devils and Library Jezebels while on one of his numerous visits to Ole Miss that these folks earlier contended never occurred. But Chris, like an oak, withstood these temptations and turned the tables on these devils and demons, becoming a top secret double agent spy for MSU, gathering the vital intel necessary to bring the TSUN down. Yet, according to Chris's mother, who wanted him at MSU, she was not aware of any wrongdoing by Ole Miss in the recruitment of her son, and said that the Ole Miss coaches were very nice to her and her son when they visited the UM campus together ( on yet another of the visits that never occurred), focusing mainly on academics. Chris's top secret mission apparently required him to divulge no information to anyone other than the Updyke fan club members -- not even to those closest to him --- dear ol Mom or his high school coach. Neither Chris's mother or his high school football coach were even aware of the big earth shattering, empire destroying interview that Chris provided to the NCAA. Apparently, no one is privy to these shocking facts revealed to the NCAA other than the MSU Harvey Updyke fan club chapter members. So, it must be solid. Sounds like a strong case. Re-engage the black helicopters.
5. While not a specific cheating allegation --- yet --- it seems that the MSU crazy wing of the fan base contends that Kailo Moore has quit the Ole Miss football program, recognized that Freeze is the devil, didn't like being moved to db, and wants to walk on at MSU ( but they won't take him). And the genesis of these conclusions appears to be that Kailo was seen in Rosedale, his hometown, recently ---Aha, we all know what THAT means. Well, here are the facts. Kailo Moore, despite indicating a willingness to move to db if it would help the team, has never to-date practiced at this position. So far, he is strictly a RB and KR, and from all accounts, appears to be a player who will play and help us this year --- he is very fast. Unfortunately, Kailo recently got his bell rung in practice and suffered a concussion. There is a rehab and clearance protocol that all Ole Miss players must go through when they suffer a concussion. And Kailo is in that process now. He missed Saturday's scrimmage due to injury and the entire team had the day off Sunday. IF Kailo was recently in Rosedale, it only means that he went home to visit family. Kailo has tweeted that he is happy at Ole Miss ( in response to the absurd rumors). Kailo is supposed to be cleared to return to the practice field very soon. Those are the facts. There is nothing to the rumors being spread by this idiot segment of the MSU fan base.
I won't lose any sleep over any of this nonsense. Just more of the same ol, same ol, from the MSU fringe.
