Support your school and let the personal trash talk end. But with football it always turns personal

By the way, I'm not talking about you, just football fans in general. And people can talk about Bama fans all they want to but the worst fans I have ever has the pleasure of meeting were all LSU fans. In fact, I carried my daughter to an LSU game, and had I leave because of the fans!
I see your point. I guess I'm just extra sensitive to this because my wife's sister-in-law (my sister-in-law as well I suppose) and her family are some trashy individuals, and when I first met them, and every time since have brought up intentionally how much they hate MSU (not just the football team, but the school aswell.) Even going as far as to make the cliche' jokes about how it has cows running on the campus etc... Not a single damn one of their entire family ever attended a class at Ole Miss (or graduated from any University for that matter), but the way they talk about how much they love Ole Miss, Oxford, Ole Miss football, or anything related, you'd swear they were the most active alumni Ole Miss has. Those are the type of folks that drive me nuts. I've had to bite my tongue countless times not to call them out on it.

Hey man I agree with fully with you. We all know fans like that. And they are the ones that give college football fans a bad name. There again, I used to argue all the time about sports but when I graduated college, I grew up and quit. Some people can never grow up. Probably like the guy in the picture. Just because I love Bama football, I wouldn't even think about that stupid tatoo, not to mention I watch all the SEC games I can. I love me some state, ole miss, LSU, Florida, Arkansas. Any of those games come on and I'm watching them

I suppose this is a testament to their success. People are not flocking to be UK football fans because they have always sucked. I must reluctantly admit that LSU probably runs second to Bama for fans that "bleed the colors and never attended a class" in the SEC.
That's why I decided to become more than a "sidewalk alumni." I enrolled in a masters program at UA to become a bona fide alumnus. My undergrad and professional degrees are from branch campuses of both Auburn and Alabama but been a UA fan since childhood. Can't wait to one day walk across that stage in Tuscaloosa and proudly be a "real" alum. RTR!
