Yup. Especially if you put the more powerful rechargable battery as suggested a couple pages ago. I have one on each of my AR's, a pistol, and my home defense shotgun. Oddly enough, the one on my shotgun has the strobe but no other ones I've purchased do.

It's probably a good one, but you can get this 1600 lumen for less money, and it is focusable and runs on AAA batteries also.

The aaa batteries suck. It runs a lot better on the 18650 battery

Alec, So what you are saying is all these little lights will run better on the 18650 recharable batteries? How log does a charge normally last on these things?

Unbelievable... 20 pages of this crap... it never ends. It's turning into the Bronco II thread.

Alright, I know someone has a new favorite light by now. Looking for the original ones, because I had the original and the other and there were no comparison.

I got a freebie Cree 1500 lumen flash light 2 years ago from the city of Ridgeland which I lost in the woods... I found it this past turkey season sticking up out of some leaves. The damn thing powered on and after a little cleaning actually still functions 100%. It was in the elements for a good year next to an area that routinely flood when the pearl is up.

Bump for a classic thread......
My 2 headlamps finally bit the dust. Since there are so many "pretenders" out there on ebay that look exactly like the ones that we all bought several years ago, does anyone have a current reliable source?
