hehehe. I always liked Coach Bryant and Coach Stallings. Since their departure there is most certainly nothing to be jealous about, even for a Bulldog fan.

I just think it is funny that fans of sec teams love to lash out at bama when they have a down moment. Yes they are having a bas year but they will still go to a bowl game and that is not good enough. But the mississippi schools will not go to a bowl game but their fans are thinking now that they are doing good things. That shows who is better. Once again thanks for the help of keeping the post going. with another two losses on the year we may make it to 30 pages. Roll Tide Roll!!!

Hey all of our teams have had down years before. Bama has had them in the past and will have more in the future. BUT NO SCHOOL in the SEC can match the history, tradition, number of wins, conference championships, bowl games and national titles that BAMA has. Heck I grew up in Texas back in the 70's and even with A&M and UT there Alabama was on TV more then they were....SO yes there ARE people who are jealous of BAma and love to get a jab in when they have a bad year. No matter what yall say, there IS jealosy out there.

P.S. The Bear the man may be gone, but The Bear the legend will live forever.

Why did y'all run off Stallings? :? :? I never understood that. He was the closest thing to Bear Bryant that Bama will ever have. Alabama's down spiral started when y'all hired Dumbo.

Did not realize bama was in a down spiral over the past 12 years or so if that is a down spiral I would like to hear what you call what is happening with some other programs. Every one has bad seasons but bama just comes back from the quicker than others. Bama will never be in the kind of slump that many other schools are going through.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong but I think Stallings voluntary retired after the '95 season mostly to spend more time with and take care of his son who has some sort of disability. I forget just exactly what it was.

I liked Stallings alot too. He coached under both Bear Bryant and Tom Landry. Spending all those years with those two Had to have a HUGE effect on his coaching style. Heck those 2 legends had probably forgotten more about football than any one of us will ever remember.

Mshunter77 Do you know what Bama's record has been in the last ten years? How many coaches has Bama fired in the last ten years or wanting to fire currently? How many bowl games has Bama been to in the past ten years?
