I still haven't visited our wonderful club!
Hunted Dutch Breake this morning and killed 4 Mallards and a Gad. There were a lot of trophys on the surrounding catfish ponds up there today.
Its bout time for some "real" ducks to bite the dust.

hunted there new years day. 1st time i've been up there for an a.m hunt since opening weekend.. we had a good shoot.. 4 guns.. almost 20 ducks.. mostly the other green.. also... 1 ross.. 1 snow.. 1 speck...

hunted again today.. 3 guns 13 shovs and 2 ruddys.. and 1 catfish...

if you'll get hid up and get some dekes out the shovs will do right...

the problem right now is we aint got no blubills... very few anyway...

Big, how do you hide? You must roll a couple of them fuel tanks out there and then put you on a silver suit and lay between them.

tried an evening hunt there yesterday. took a 12 year old in hopes of him killing his first duck. mostly let him shoot but had to help him out on occasion. i think we ended up with a coot, 6 shovs & a spec. needless to say, the kid was fired up. will se if i can get a pic

ive still yet to see the club.

i plan on stoppin by some this weekend though....

I've been sitting in the water of the pond across the levy from the pond I'm hunting. The dekes are in front of me across the levy and I'm sitting on a dove stool with my waders on so that all that's showing from the direction the ducks are coming is my chest and head. It seems to be working well.

All Ponds Frozen Solid!!!

we went sat a.m. 99 % of the place was locked up .. found about a 1/2 ac. of unfrozen water and 2 of us limited out shortly.. even got a gwt and a grey duck.. also got 2 ross geese...

Got a text from D.I.B. last night. Some of you might remember him.
Sunday afternoon, 3 hunters ~ 13 killed (speck & canvasback)

Says he misses us all! Bring him back...Bring him back....Bring him back!
