I'll second that. I imagine a lot of folks are quietly trying to absorb all this info. Wingman. Where do I send the $20 and what's your preferred form of payment.

I appreciate the discussion. Some have learned a little and some alot. I don't think anyone is mad, and if they are, they need not stick around here very long.

, because this is all in fun and should not get anybody's blood pressure up. Thanks for the education Wingman and to everyone who has had input.

true you can get the river stage at Tunica from the reading in Memphis if you know how to figure flow rates depth of the riverbed, width of the river at tunica verses Memphis....I found a faster and more accurate way. I walk due west out of the runout at tunica for 300 yards and then stick My measuring stick in the water for a reading...I cant cypher good enough to do the math the other way...

MaryAnna (sp)
we been measuring the cutoff this way for along time Memphis gauge plus 3 days to get to tunica then take in consideration what the rivers in Arkansas are doing . There are times when the Ms is falling but the cutoff will be rising because the water is being stopped by the rivers emptying into the Ms below Tunica...Or just ignore everything and use the stick.

Kinda like you do when the fuel gauge on the tractor is broken, huh? True ingeniuity. Only my man, Tunica.
Side note: I used to like orange soda, but for some reason now they make my stomach hurt.
