led headlight
Re: led headlight
Mine worked great for 2 months. Opening day of deer season, dead as hell. Went in the garbage.
Where'd who go?
Re: led headlight
I have two. One for running and one for hunting. Only problem I have with mine is my wife takes my running one to read books at night.levi127 wrote:So how did everyones light work out this year? Mine burned batteries quick!

Re: led headlight
I have 2 and have had no problems at all but I do have a pack of AAA batteries just in case it goes dead.

Re: led headlight
Got the good lights and their worth the money. First set of batteries went fast, second set is hanging in there. I'm carrying an extra set of AAA's just in case.

Re: led headlight
Bought one before season started and have used it all season on the same set of batteries. I did drop it in the water at the boat ramp one morning but it still works fine.
Re: led headlight
Only downside I've found is since bow season that I put one in my bow hunting pack once and one time in my waders, the button got pushed somehow and the battery ran dead before the next time I used it. The on/off button seems to be slightly more prone than other flashlights I've had to turn on when bumped. But 3 AAA batteries are cheap, so no biggie. I've run the batties down on 2 of them with normal use of the season. But tracking a couple deer at night, and walking in to the stand in the morning and out at night, as well as every duck hunt pretty much, they were bound to run down. But 1 battery change per season per flashlight is pretty normal.
You have to remember these aren't regular cheep-o flashlights. It takes a good bit of power to have a light as bright as these. Even though they are a form of LED. But if I used my Surefire half as much as I used one of these this season, I would have had to change the batteries 6 times. And those CR123 Lithiums are not cheap.

Scroll down and there's a package deal with the battery and a charger for $26.37; I think I'm gonna try one out.

Re: led headlight
This is the next one I buy. You can recharge it without taking the batteries out. 500 lumens and would be quite practical. Comes with batteries, wall, and car charger. $23.

or you can go with the 1000 lumen one, same deal but $45. Would be one awesome truck flashlight:

Re: led headlight
I know what I will be asking for for my birthday. Can't wait to try the 1K lumen.
Re: led headlight
I've got the 3800 lumen. It's ridiculous.
