I'm probably reading this wrong but I understand from your post that you bought the phone sometime ago, called and purchased a coverage plan telling them you just bought the phone, and then the next day told them you dropped it in the water. I'm sure I'm missing something.
Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote. Benjamin Franklin.

Those who can do. Those who can't get on MSDUCKS and try to convince everyone they can.

I had bought the phone 3 weeks ago. They knew by the serial# when I had bought it and they only offer purchase of the coverage for 30 days from the purchase date. When you purchase the plan they ask no questions and the coverage date starts the from the date you bought the phone. The Manager at my local cell store recommended this over paying $650 for a new 1. I would have bought the coverage the day I bought the phone but the sales clerk specificly told me that it didn't cover water damage. After I drowned it I went in and talked to the manager and he recommend I call and add it, that it does cover water damage or any other accidental event that destroys the phone.
