This is no big deal on the ticket change, just sounds like to many cooks in the kitchen, and the Mi$$ion and Travel Agen$y are ever-worried about their bottom line$ which is the entirety of their existence, IMHO. Call the airline directly. Best of luck regarding your sister's health.

Internatonal ticket change fees are not always $250! They can change big time depending on the airline, what day you change it too etc, etc. That is of course IF you even have a ticket that will allow you to make changes to it.

Right on there with RR's advise. We have had numerous changes due to weather problems this year in South America and dealing with the airline is the best way to go. Ticket canges for $250 is peanuts compared to welfare and safety of travelers. I also recomment having travel insurance from Global Rescue if traveling abroad which will med-evac you from anywhere in the world to the hospital of your choice and policies can be bought for several weeks or annually. It's cheap for the peace of mind it brings.

Her flight was scheduled to leave this morning at 530 from the philipeans. Scheduled to land in Atlanta at 617 tommorow morning. Just hoping for safe flights and easy plane conection at LAX.
