Lulus is over rated, for fine dinning go to louisiana lagniappe, casual go to sea and suds, shrimp basket or docs. Live bait is a fun bar, lots of eye candy and usually a good band.

I'll second that on Lulu's. Don't go there expecting to see Jimmy Buffett. Go there expecting a long wait, mediocre food, and lot's of kids. Louisiana Lagniappe is a good one (forgot about it).

The Turquoise is nice. Spacious good pool and such. Might consider as an option the Bella Luna. Classy contemporary place and very nice. Lagoon side just about across from the the Flora Bama. If you are looking for oysters or a good bowl of gumbo, Wintzell's is a good casual choice. Go north a bit and you can get to Wolf Bay Lodge in Foley. A better choice in my oppinion is Calypso Joe's down Marina rd. in Orange Beach. Carribean style cuisine. Not overly fancy but good menu choices. Don't forget about a visit to Pirates Cove.

The place in the sticks was probably Tin Top. Try Happy Harbour , Lesters and Cosmos. The Caribe has the best food in town

If you go to Louisiana Lagniappe, do yourself a favor and get the stuffed mushroom appetizer...wow.

I've seen alot of good ones on here but one I haven't seen is Desoto's. Like 10 years running as best dining in the area...

Hangout Fest is going to be a blast. I've got my tickets. The West side of Orange Beach shouldn't be that crowded. You may also want to try the Perdido area (just past OB). What ever you do, don't eat at the Crab Trap a.k.a. The Tourist Trap.

I will second desoto's for food (lunch spot for us)

I would suggest Flippers for a good meal. The food is great and if you sit outside it overlooks a marina and the bay. On the first floor you can drop crumbs off your plate to feed the fish. Really a great place. It is on the back bay side of orange beach at bear point marina. Kinda out of the way but only a few miles from the beach.
