i haven't had very many people follow me in, or come in on me right before shooting time, because if your following me you better have your boots laced up! My biggest problem is people coming in on me on in the mourning, when they hear me shooting, which is got to be the most sorry thing a hunter can do! if they get close 150 yards, i yelll " hey man we got this spot covered" very rarely do i have to yell it twice, they just seem to move on, i guess they get wore up getting to where the ducks are.

Out West they used a lottery for deer. Sux when your dad gets drawn for one side of the state, and I was drawn for the other side of the state (Nevada) Sux even more when ya dont get drawn at all, expecially with all that nothen thats out there, makes ya wonder. I say "no" to lottery. "Maybe" on a specific area that is prown to a pounding. Just my opinion. Yall have a nice day 8)

I don't generally hunt easily accesible holes. If you do, you know ahead of time what to expect.

If someone finds a spot I like to hunt on their own, by scouting or some other way than following me in or hearing me shoot and then finding me or waiting for me to come out to see where I have been, AND they beat me to the spot, then I go somewhere else . . . quietly. I have other places to go. If I dont have anywhere else to go and the area is boig enough, I might set up a good piece away, but I WILL respect your birds and I will try not to call or shoot when birds are working you. But if you have cheated, all bets are off.

That is just me. Do what you like.

The other way all bets are off is if you come into the public land from the lease next door by riding a four wheeler and I trek a mile in on foot, all bets are off, we will both leave pissed in one way or another. I can see how others could see things differently, but that is how I see it. If you don't want competition, stay on the lease.

Da Benny wrote:We cant just keep having new duck hunters like there is no shortage of places to hunt because there is a shortage and it's gotten pretty bad.

We think in our heads, the more duck hunters the better, when in fact nothing could be further from the truth.

Thats hitting the nail on the head.
