i got it in my head to get one of these last year to deer hunt with. Bought a R25 remington in .308. It was a sweet shooting gun, very compact, and very accurate. I killed a small buck with it at 5 steps running directly at me, and my dad killed a doe later in the season with it.

But in the end I did not like how it carried walking in. The foward assist, handle, and clip would dig into my side or back while carrying. Also, the things are heavy. One other thing is after climbing a tree or making it to the blind, loading the bolt is freaking loud. So I got shed of it after it sat at the house for most of the season.

Now I would like to get a straight up ar15 flat top (DPMS or bushmaster) just for shooting and maybe shoot some vermon now and then.
