I wasn't referring to YOUR gun maint. site...which I think has some really good info...I was talking about the refuge, for which I am a registered member...I didn't have to wait for an approval when I registered on the Refuge..Guess things change over time...Just was wondering..Thanks for your interest..
I may go to Heaven, or I may go to hell....But one thing is for certain..It'll be after Duck season!!

Not sure I understand Busting are you telling me that you are having to wait to register for a give away on the Refuge.

If so I have nothing to do with that site other than help as a moderator.

I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with anybody just trying to play this situation out in my head.
O.K. everything set just have to wait for legal time which is in an hour and a half. Mabey I'll have some coffee, hey someone's coming; they're getting close, I'll just give em the old back off spotlight. Not working what are these jackazzez doing? "Hey Ya'll mind Moving?" Oh going to ignore me huh? mabey a shotgun blast will do the trick, no here's someone else coming what the hay. AHHUH the game warden here good lets see what happens now. Yeah get em outta here wooohooo go feds its my birthday(doing a jig). Oh poor SOBs had to leave your dekes- AND A MALLARD MACHINE!!?? HMMMMMMMMMMMMM.3=2-5X7+4/ i to the second power= A. run it all over with the boat-naw mess up my motor
B. Leave it alone- naw can't teach em a lesson that way
C. Pick it all up and deliver it with a face to face chat hmmmm.
D. Give it to GWs (if their at the ramp)
E. make them pay a severe dumb booty fee
I'll take E. Alex
Now after thinking about (and getting chastized on MS ducks) mabey I'll do the right thing, allthough wrong in my mind, by calling The Man and letting him know I was good enough to pick up what was left behind in haste. Mabey they won't call back?

Is that about how things went?

If ya'll hear anything about em, please let me know ! I was so drunk on whiskey,... I forgot where I threw em out ! Not to mention some busy body game warden going on-and-on about a few left over lead shot in the bottom of the boat ! Best I remember there were some other duck hunters about 100 yards away,..... Maybe they know something !

OK everybody....Let's turn the tables...Most of us know what we would have done if put in the position of swamp dawg...

Now..let's look at it from the moron's point of view that got caught.

Motoring in to a supposedly hot little hole and somebody has the nerve to shine their spotlight on me that beat me to it. Mmmm must be a pretty good hole if they're already here and setup. I think I'll just set up here too, what's he/she gonna do..it's public land. I pay taxes too. Damn sure is cold...I drank too much last night and don't feel like looking for another spot. Hell pass me that bottle...I need a little antifreeze. $#!+ this guy won't know how we're skybusting these ducks and still killing them with this lead shot. Ha Ha Ha...the jokes on his ass this morning..Dumb poke!!!! $#!+ here comes someone else...Hey go somewhere....Uhhh yes sir Mr. Warden...Yeah just a swallow...Oh these...We was squirrel hunting the other day..must have fell outta my pocket... 25 of them...Well er uh...i suppose so... Yes we'll go back to the ramp...Yes sir..

Days Later...Damn Billy Bob...we need to go back and get them dekes and $#!+....Billy Bob says I bet that SOB that shined us already took em. I guess it serves us right for being so stupid.

Whatcha think? Do you think they'll go looking for whoever got them or do you think they'll be too stupid to realize they actually done something wrong and chalk it up as a loss?

Just Wondering?

has anyone ever done anything they wish they hadn't in the heat of the battle - you think it over and realize what you did was wrong and you try to make it right... give the guy a break. The Swamp dog has learned a valuble lesson, I promise you
Are you ready?

Man I love this site.....where else can ya have sombody's ethic's based on written type rammed down your pie hole jeeeveeesss

You can bet I would have picked them up I sure wouldn't want a empty spread 100 yards away from me sucking the few ducks its been this season especially on the last day of the season...........::::sigh:::: Stealing them mind you wouldn't have been on my mind but if I returned to the empty ramp what else could he do leave'em on the boat ramp .......... contacting the warden was the thing to do IMHO.......

Eye for an Eye from the way it sounds the SOB's deserved to loose their stuff again IMHO but there is plenty more of em out there for that task.......

Seems to me that the bible is written type. Had any of those ethics rammed down your throat lately?

Bottomline is no one has any business touching anyone's property but the people that own it. Say all you want it was very obvious what he meant and what you are saying.

I have little need for people that steal, and even less for those the defend it. Not a damn thing to do with ethics. Too bad you can't see that.

I don't think he was trying to compare anyone's ethics on this site to the Bible. He was more likely refering to the endless rampage of negative replies after Swampdog said he had contacted the warden. He obviously wasn't defending stealing someone else's decoys:

Swampdog did the right thing in the end and will more than likely remember this the next time he is faced with a similar situation. Good enough for me.

That is fine if it is good enough for you.
Bottomline it was not his to screw with period...
Didn't say in his original post he ever intented to contact Anyone.
If he had intended to return them, he could have simple taken them to the check-in station and given them to the game wardens at that time and likely would have meet the owners still getting the what for there.

I know what his intent was I have met people like him dozens of times over the years.

The only reason he says he contacted the game wardens is because he was catching he11 on the forum and knew he had screwed up that post.

right is right defend his actions anyway you wish.

Why is everyone so upset, that a few non-ethical, boozed-up, irresponsible, asswipes lost a few deeks,........ For one,.... I can't think of anyone I'd rather it happen to !

Sounds to me as if they got what was coming to them !

I can't believe everyone is so "up in arm's" defending these dingleberries !

What gives ?,..... You wouldn't happen to be one of the dingleberries,... Would you ?

Not posing this question to anyone in paticular,.... Just would love to know why anybody would rush to these fellars defense !????

No,..... I don't support theft,... so don't attempt that spin !

I would have done something with those boys deeks myself !

Diff. is noone on this forum would have ever heard a peep outta me !

It woulda been one of those Jimmy Hoffa jobs !

Nobody defending these"hunters" dont think it was his place to pick up and keep some dumbazzes stuff. I would have left em, let the wardens decide what to do, they knew the stuff was out there. Turn it in 8)

MSDuckmen maybe we should start reffering to you as Brother Duckman or maybe Reverend Duckmen.....and as a matter of fact I don't have sombody ramming the Bible's ethics down my throat I believe I can choose a place where they don't have the Holy'er than Thou attitude.... Doesn't the Bible read "Thou Shall not Judge" Just guessing but go figuer?

Thanks Chuckle I guess the Rev had trouble getting past the Pie Hole statement ::::grin:::::

Stano See ya Rev ::::::BIGGRIN::::

That is the difference in you and me Rip.

Just cause a guy is speeding and gets pulled over don't give me the right to steel his car.

Damn man where is everyones moral backbone?

Right is right. If you steal from a stranger you'll steal from a friend.

They were not your decoys, Regardless of who owned them.

In no way stealing them would change your life for the better or make you a better person. That is what is wrong with people today, They hold way too much stock on material values. Doesn't matter if is was a stick of gum or a 4 wheeler. Taking something that is not yours is wrong. PERIOD.

If you can't see that then your not the man I thought you were.
