Men,

I appreciate the thoughts, prayers, and concerns. We all still need them, particularly my dad. My parents were married almost 39 years and he was very dependent on her. So far his biggest accomplishment is that he figured out how to make coffee all by himself. :D This is the learning curve he is going to climb.

I understand we all have to work and make a living. We all like to take time for ourselves and partake in our hobbies. I realize this sentiment is expressed often and can sound like a broken record; therefore, it often gets ignored......

Take time to stay at home or skip a trip to the duck blind or deer stand if your mom, dad or other family member wants you to come by and eat a meal or just visit.

I thought I had my momma for many more years. I don't. As far as telling my momma how I felt or telling her that I loved her, I have no regrets. She knew that she I loved her with everything I had. I do wish that I had taken her up on more of the supper invitations or not been in such a rush to get out the door. Appreciate parents for what they are and what they did, do and will do for you. Once they are gone; they are gone. I love momma dearly and wish I could have her back, not necessarily for me but for my babies. I would give anything for them to know what they missed out on.

Once again, thank you for the thoughts and prayers.

Pond

Rob,
If you need anything just give me a shout. Think of your dad this way. he spent most his life in education, with alot of it teaching us, so if he can teach us anything he can definately teach himself. And he couldn't have anyone better than you and Allyson there to help him along. The old saying "you can't teach an old dog new tricks" don't apply to Bob. Look me up and lets me, you and Bob go burn some gun powder.

KW,

The burning of gunpowder is way overdue. Dad and I both appreciate you stopping by yesterday. It was definitely a very tough and long day. Dad will be OK it will take some time. Fortunately, it is hunting season and he should not have trouble finding anyone to take him out.

I'll be in touch.

Thanks,

Pond

Rob, sorry I could not attend the services for your mother. I have prayed very hard for your family since I heard the news. I hope your Thanksgiving went as well as it could be under the circumstances.

Praying for you bud.
