Ive been trying to make a jerk cord cause ive never used one while hunting and not many people down here do either. Can anyone give me any tips cause what im doin aint workin.

Use the SEARCH button and you'll find lotsa stuff on the trusty jerk chord... they WORK
Worst case scenerio...use your voice ta call...it WORKS
