say slim jim how old are those brownings? i use to own a gold it was a lemon if there was ever a lemon. my paticuliar gun was the first generation browing it was made the first year that browing came out with the auto that would shoot 3 1/2". I think they have made some improvments with the gold since that time but I'm not sure as i will never own a browning gun again...
that gun frusturated the #%&* out of me. i sent it back to browning twice and it still sucked. the other thing that was bad was that i came across quite a few hunters who had ejection problems.
Finally I sent the gun with a friend of mine to a gun show in Jxn and i told him to get rid of it and bring me back something, anything that would shoot. I ended up trading it for a 3 1/2" charles daly pump gun. so far so good. really though no one on this board should be suprised to read about the failures of this gun. its common knowledge; if you have a gold that your happy with then u should consider yourslef lucky.
oh yea at the same time i bought my gold my brother purchased one as well. he no longer hunts with his. nuff said i could go on and on about my dissapointment with that gun.. but its time to go do some last minute christmas shopping. somebody forward this to browning and see if they will send me a new gun to try. cause thats the only way that i'll ever shoot another one
later and merry x-mas to all
big no browning shooter
P.S. as final evidence of how bad this gun sux. just look at the above posts.. sure there are some people that love the gun, but for every one those posts that speaks favorably there are posts that mention problems. all in all this gun has been a failure...
