Shifty bikes suck. Ya'll just used to it is all... ride an auto bike for a weekend and you'll stop on your way home to get rid of that shifty piece of crap (it'll be your words, not mine!). Shifty bikes suck cause you got to be on the bike to ride.... auto bikes ya can hang on the side like an injun riding side saddle. I dont straddle that seat unless Im riding a long way, especially wearing waders or hip boots. Jumping off and loading wingers when training, an auto rocks... hunting needing to stand up to see in the water, an auto rocks.... 2 people sitting side by side is easy, with an auto bike. And my number one complain of shifty bikes is busting ice and having a big chunk wind up under shifter so I can't go to reverse without getting my hand wet.... That sucks most of all.

Manual trans get you out of a mudhole faster than an auto? Not on a bike, not on a truck. Yeah you can spin more and tear more sheeeeitt up, but as far as actually just going, no way. And when ya need to spin, ya still can. I wouldnt OWN a manual transmission 4 wheel drive truck, or a truck with lock out hubs.... both are just inviting you to tear sheeeitt up, either your truck, or whut your dirivng on. I also wouldnt pay top freggin dollar for a 3 wheel drive 4 wheeler, or one that wont go into 2 wd, but thats me!

Yamaha 450 kodiack shagamatic... push button, 4 wheel drive... push another button, differential locked and 4 tires locked tight together. 27 inch outlaws.. if ya gonna go play in the mud, why not play the hardest ya can? travis

Honda = Better re-sale, and all of us know after four or five years you may be tempted by the latest and the greatest on the market, so at least you can get some of your money out of them, besides that Ive used all makes and models and theres pros and cons of all.......

Well I say this and this is coming from a 16 year old who likes playing in mud. Where ever yall go on a four wheeler I wil go on my old 200M Honda. If your on a Polaris I will drag you through the mud hole sideways and not let up. Honda's are the way to go. Next year I might get me a late model Honda 300 and thats only if my 200 falls to pieces.

I don't know alot, but I know I can put two 200 pound hunters, plus my 200 pounds and a sack of dekes on my Polaris and go across any rice field out there.

I was skeptical of autos and Polaris at first, but 3 years later I'm still pleased. No shifting in the gumbo and losing your momentum.

I even screwed up and let it come off of my trailer going 60MPH down the hiway. Watched it pass me, veer off to the side and disappear into a 15 foot canal ditch and water splashed out of the top of the banks. Pulled it out with a knuckle boom loader(after it drowned out while I DROVE it thru the bottom of the canal), drained the oil and drained the water from the belt case, checked the rearend and frontend and it's never checked up since.

Me too, just got it 3 months ago. That electric shift sho makes it easy when your waders are covered in that fine buckshot mud. If the ES ever goes out........well then I'll cut the running board and put a manual shifter on......Honda was so nice to leave that shaft sticking out of the tranny!!!!!

Gotta love a Honda been ridin them since '81.
