I saw over 1,500 snows and specks in two different fields up around Rolling Fork and Mayersville. One of the fields was right on the edge of town, next to the school. Man, there were a lot of birds. More and more just kept pourin' in. I would have loved to been out there in my layout blind waitin' on 'em.

Wingman,
Are you going to be guiding during the conservation order season? I know the MDWFP site gives the dates but your web site still shows the season as "pending." That might be the best time if the geese are still around. (Unless of couse everyone want a shot at specks and canadas too.) The Conservation order dates are at: The Link

Probably won't be doing any guiding then because I'll be busy with training for my new job. Yes, I haven't ammended the website. After about the middle of February, the geese start leaving my area. Sure would be fun to try them over e-callers, though.

They seem to be working the same general areas. Looks like they like to go for a little fly around about 9ish. Lots of red legs mixed in the groups ive been seeing. Saw an eagle head in the bunch that had a green coller around his neck, would make a fine conversation piece. They dont give much chance as they come straight down and go straight up.
