The group we ran into at Shoney's Friday morning from Louisiana said they killed 1 duck? Did they do better Saturday morning?

Much better. You have to understand that with guiding duck hunting that there will be misses, jams, hesitation and other factors that are out of a guides control. We should have had more ducks that morning but more than made up for it Saturday. Both Father and Son were thrilled whenever they left. The other group that hunted Friday morning shot full limits.

I have been around commercial duck hunting since I was about 12 and guiding for a few years as well. I understand completely that there are hiccups.

I was just curious if they got a chance for redemption Saturday morning. Seemed like pretty nice guys.

My sons and I hunted with Colby this morning and we had a blast. We shot greenheads that we in our faces and a couple of Suzies. We had one group of pintails that worked so beautifully but baled on us at the bitter end as they often do... that said, that was a beautiful 5 minutes. We are going to unt with Blake tomorrow and we are really looking forward to it.

These two guys are young (but compared to me everyone is young) and from what I can tell, they do everything humanly possible to ensure that their clients have a quality hunt and a good time. At least they did for us this morning.

We are really stoked about hunting with them again in the morning.

First class....
