I thought this was a duck hunting forum. I didn't know this was a website designed for Ole Miss fans to get there golden boy the Heisman. Advertise all you want, he's not going to win it.

Along that line, then - Archie, Cooper, Peyton and Eli often go duck hunting over at Fighting Bayou. How many other duck clubs have three Heisman Finalists as fairly regular guests - and Eli could still win one!

duckhunter1-
You don't have to worry about that...it never happened. If you've ever met him you'd realize real quick that he is not "The Ladies Man." (although his girlfriend is purty)
wellisIII-
Yeah, every person that has a vote in the Heisman race reads this board and lets us backwoods Mississippi (and other states) boys sway their votes to choose our "Golden Boy."
He probably won't win, but I doubt he will finish last in the voting...that place should be reserved for Chris Perry.
Like someone else said earlier, if he had played for a more nationally recognized powerhouse, he would have a better shot at winning it. However, I have to disagree with Drakeshead when he said
the Ole Miss Rebels failed as a team to get the job done against teams they should have beaten
The Rebels had an excellent season, beating 7 of the 8 SEC teams we played. The only game that hurt Eli's chances was the LSU game. If we had won, and he would have had an impressive showing, his chances would be a lot better come Saturday.

Duckhunter1, remind me to whop you over the head with my custom-made cowbell (circa 1971) when I see you!

I'm a Dawg thru-and-thru, but I got over the hate long time ago and can love my Dawgs without hating the Rebs. I have sung many-a "Go to Hell Ole Miss, go to Hell" in my day. Just don't feel the necessity any more. But, I understand those who do as I was there once. I just don't need to tear the Rebels down to be for my Dawgs. I have reached an age where I understand respect a little more than I did when I was younger and full of piss and vinegar. It takes a bit to rile me up now, but given the right motivation, I can still cut you down so low that you can sit on a dime and swing your feet! Go Dawgs...and I am very happy for Eli and equally glad that he's gone!

Tennessee did finish ranked #1. Peyton was QB.
Georgia has had many a Heisman. So has Auburn. Neither of which were national title competitor teams, just had awesome running backs.
Carson Palmer did not win a national title. He didn't even play for one. But he got the trophy.
I assume you believe Jason White has out performed Eli b/c he has won more games? My neighbor's old lady could toss touchdowns for OU, considering the rest of their squad. Sure, they run up the score a lot..... on un-ranked teams.
Larry Fitzgerald is a good receiver, hands down, but so was Randy Moss. Receivers aren't called upon to perform near as much as QB's.
Chris Perry is a good back, but not the best athlete in the NCAA-I. The best athlete, proving more times than not, that he can get smacked around, get back up, win more games WITH a TEAM than anyone ever gave them credit to do....... is Eli Manning.
Consider the games, consider the scores, consider the teams, the conferences, and such, and you'll see the Eli Manning out-passed Jason White by a long shot.
