Re: What have you found in your shoe
Not a boot story but I have a layout blind story.
Two years ago I was setting up my new layout for the first time hunting out of it. My 2 year old daughter had been playing in it the week before. Any way, I get it all set up and the deeks are set so I get in to chill before LST. When I lay down I hear this strange noise that honestly scared me a little (it was dark). Turns out it was her play iron that when you mash down on it, it lights up and makes a noise. My whole hunting party had a real good laugh over it.

My waders were hanging upside down on the front porch of camp for a few weeks. When I pulled them down and started slipping my leg in I felt something and heard something also. Turned out to be a bat. Freaked me out a little bit.

Re: What have you found in your shoe
My roommate at state put on his boot one morning, took it back off, and pulled a little garter snake out of it.

Dam ankle hurt for several days after that..

Re: What have you found in your shoe
pecans from squirrles getting into the camp and stashing them (from a deli cup full we picked up outside) in the toes of 2 pair of waders left hanging upside down in the wader rack over the summer/fall.
Experience is a freakin' awesome teacher...
Re: What have you found in your shoe
stuck my foot in a shoe the was outside to walk out to my shop and got bit by a black widow(i can assure you the pain is something you never want to endure) spend 5 day in the hospital on 3 pain killers one being morphine and the other 2 just as strong or stronger. The venom is wayyy more potent than a cottonmouth. 5 days of being in the hospital with your nervous system hurting so bad that they constantly pumped drugs in my to keep me asleep, suckkeeeddd....

Fruit Bar, Pizza, toy car, dog food(all by my 2 year old in the last couple of weeks), and a pair of panties(from the college days, not real sure how or why they were in my Sunday dress shoes)

Re: What have you found in your shoe
My middle daughter was on an egg kick about 20years ago when she was 3; she would break them into whatever she came across. Now,it is a bad feeling to put your foot into a boot with a raw egg in the bottom of it. Thankfully she grew out of that stage not before I found one in the seat of my limited late model dirt car.

Re: What have you found in your shoe
black scorpion when I was on a missions trip in Belize doing construction at this camp way back in the boonies. Thankfully I was in the habit of shaking out my shoes so he didn't get me. Finding a big old tarantula climbing on the bug netting of my bunk the next day was also a little unsettling.
