BJ's a little slow, don't laugh at him

I would have thought he'd wonder why the life jacket was snug and not fitting good, maybe he was thinking he's big swole and was busting out the life jacket. But man that thing stuck up like a parachute behind him. Then it was all sideways like he put one arm through the straps instead of the place where you should put your arm at. Was a funny sight for sure.

I had two hunting buddies each go for a swim twice in the same hunt. One went in on opening day several years ago when he twice lost his footing in the cypress brake. We gave him all kinds of grief and named him "Aquaman." The very next weekend the other guy does the same thing so we called him Aquaman, Jr.--names that they are still called 15-20 years later.

[Not funny but interesting: The second guy almost drowned, and we didn't even know it until he got back from chasing a cripple through the cypress trees with water dripping from all over him. He never told us the whole story but did say he was in the inner tube and tried to step over an underwater log while raising up to shoot the cripple when he toppled over forward. His head apparently ended up in the water and mud, and he almost didn't make it out of the tube before he ran out of air.

I got a bigger chuckel out of this one than the $h!t hole story! I can visualize this happening to me!

You should hear the whole story.....It is not to good when 3 kids 14-15 years old in a truck that they pushed down the driveway where their parents couldn't hear them, and a barrowed boat (he didn't know we had the boat, but we know the guy that owned it). Go duck hunting and the boat get hits by a effin train and one kid almost dies. Then CSX calls your parents. If was a cluster fu@K for sure, and I got my ace beat by two sets of parents.

I got a good one about turkey hunting....

A few years ago I took a friend of mine to my camp turkey hunting. As darkness started breaking off and the owls started hooting I knew it would be a great day for turkey hunting. The first gobbler struck a little earlier than usual so we had a chance to set up on him before he saw us. Once we were set up turkeys were gobbling everywhere, we had the position all we had to do is wait. The gobbler pitched down, saw the decoy we were using and starterd coming with about a hundred yards between me and him. A couple of hens pitched down about twenty yards behind him and he turned and went with them. I knew these turkeys were going to the field we call the Busch Light so we let them ease off through the woods and we got up to make a big circle and meet them in the field. After running about a mile through the woods we sarted creeping up to the field. In late april the grass is getting pretty tall in the deer fields so seing them through the trees was impossible. When we got about five yards away from the field my buddy said "There he is" I looked and there was a big red head sticking out of the grass. We crouched down and I told him im about to make him stick his head up higher and kill him. I called...nothing happened...I called...nothing happened so I said alright im about to stand up and shoot you back me up if I miss. I stood up...BOOM...before I could pull the trigger again I heard BOOM....I shot BOOM....he shot BOOM....and hollered decoy decoy decoy when I saw it spinning. We walked up to it and sure enough it was a decoy.

I never found out whose decoy it was, the only thing I can think of is that someone was poaching on us (since that field is close to the property line) saw us coming and slipped out of there before I caught them.

Either that or they were dead on the other side of the decoy.

Two buddies of mine were hunting out of a john boat while i hunted off of a beaver dam. One was standing up taking a piss and the other saw some geese fly over, so he proceeds to stand up in the boat and fire off a few rounds. The whole boat flipped over and they were soaked to the bone.

C0usin and I got up early to go to DNF. Sucked down much coffee on the way. Just before daylight after trompining through the woods he had to go. He juemped up on a stump but had no tree to lean back with. It being dark he didn't really pay attention to where it was going. All I could hear was 2 wildcats fighting. When he got doe he yanked them up and realized he had dropped a hot and not some firm load in his waders. I was driving so he was stuck until we got through hunting. I laughed until he got back into the truck the didn't saymuch on the ride home

Cause they got a sign flashing that says Naked Hens inside, and my brother says as serious as ever... Nuh Uh?!. Needless to say that one gets brought up at least once a year!
