Re: Sea Foam
I use it regularly, I have also talked the owner of the Landscape Co. I work for into using it. I put it in my ATV, Large lawn mower, push mower, Weedeaters, generator, boat motor, and gas cans. I also had a wierd knock in my 4-wheeler bout this time last year. Changed the oil and had the valves adjusted. Still had a small knock. Instead of paying to have the top end of the motor torn down, I put Sea Foam in my oil, as instructed on the can. It did work, after discussion with people that know more than I, I was told it will free the valves of build-up. Hence made the tapping go away.
Damn, i thought I had that one
Is that buddy of yours tryin to blow that call or make love to it?

I'll throw a can in my truck's gas tank every once in a while, either that or a bottle of Heet.

Re: Sea Foam
I use stabil to stop the ethanol damage in outboard and small engines plus put in cans of gas that are sitting up, . I never put any additives in my vehicles though, may have to try it!!! I have used Marvel mystery oil for years and like it pretty well for small engines and a older vehicle I owned, stuff priced fairly well, just dont know about using it in todays vehicles!!!

I use it and know for a fact it will clean out a gummed up carb on an OB. A buddy of mine who does some wrench turning on the side swears he can make a car that had failed emmision inspections pass with one can. I find it a the Wal mark or small engine shops.

Re: Sea Foam
My rhino started running awful back in the fall. I changed fuel filter, plug, etc with no luck. I ran two cans of seafoam thru it and now she runs like a top (knock on wood). I also started running non ethanol gas, made a believer outta me.

Re: Sea Foam
I am no advocate of "snake oils" that will allegedly make something that is broke fixed. But I use Seafoam. Seafoam works. It will not cure something that is broken, like a weak valve spring or a blown head gasket....... but it will keep your fuel system from gumming up. As was stated....It was the additive to OMC motors back in the day...... To keep oil from gumming up the carb. So you know it works for that. And that's what most of the problems you'll have from a small engine stem from.
It is mostly just.... Kerosene. or at least that is what I was told by the guys at Stabil who allegedly did a chemical analysis on it. They of course said I should by Stabil Ethanol Treatment.

I buy it by the gallon. Remove one of my vacuum hoses, and put the hose down into the bottle. Just cant put it too deep, because it will break down the hose....
I inherited an older Ford Explorer, and used it enough to where the valves no longer 'click'...
Sometimes you just have to close your eyes, count to ten, take a deep breath and remind yourself that you wouldn't look good in prison stripes... and just smile at that dumbass and walk away.

About two years ago I threw my back out while doing the nasty with my old lady. Rubbed a little Seafoam on it and *PRESTO* good as new!!

I saw it in Torch's store. I've also seen it in almost every other place that sells automotive parts. It's usually right by the counter and the StaBil and is in a White Can.
Re: Sea Foam
This is exactly what I do. But after I put 1/2 the can in I turn the truck off for about 10 minutes. Then crank up and see the crap that comes out of it, solid black smoke. Then drive it around the block 3-4 times then park it. Even after that you will still blow black smoke for a little while so dont worry about, it eventually stops when everything is cleaned. Great product!

Re: Sea Foam
I could only find it at autozone around here for some reason. Then the other day went into Walmart and they carry it now.
Have to buy a couple of them b/c they go quick when they put them on the shelves.
