I don't disagree about Stansbury's lack of on the court aptitude...but who do you think that MSU could get to come there and do as well as he does? I think that is the biggest question that should be answered prior to running him out of town. IMO, Starkville ain't exactly the "promised land" for college basketball coaches. No?

Agree 100% as long as we're a game behind in the west I don't think we should be shaking things up much....might end up missing him.

State won last night on talent, no offensive coaching, 4 guys around the perimeter throwing up outside shots and Varnado under the basket. Move around, set some picks, do something. It was a win but I thought Ole Miss had a great opportunity to put it to us had they had a few things fall their way. Felt like we were lucky to come out of there with a win.

i completly agree...State had like a 15 poing lead with about 9 min to go and ole miss took a time out and i could see him in the huddle talking about slowing the game down and running clock....seems to me like everytime he does this we start playing less aggressive and start letting the other team back in it... he has got to start setting up some plays...he has waaayyyyy to much talent on that team to just settle for 3 point shots...and also dee bost has got to get his self under control...

bost looked liked a chiwawa on crytstal meth last night.... reminds alot of Gary Ervin while he was here , but when he got to Arkie he calmed down under a new coach

he needs to chill but with offensive leadership like stansbury i could see why he acts like he is strung out.... lotta pressure on him having no direction from the head man...

Was at the game last night and have the same thoughts as everyone else. There is no caoching with this team, just street ball. Way too much talent on the court for that type of play. Bost is so out of control that the rest of the team seem to be following him. State scores 6 points in less that 50 seconds and them it takes 10 minutes to score another 6. Stansbury has made it known he going to live by the three. It has cost us some games this year and I'm afraid it will hurt us in the final run as well.

What is interesting is how it has progressively gotten worse over the last few seasons (offensive coaching). I remember State running some good plays and having an offensive strategy going into a game not that long ago. When Roberts and the other big guy who came back his senior year were there (name escapes me), those teams played differently than what you see now. Has there been some assistant coaching shake-ups that has caused this? I follow MSU basketball just by the paper and TV and do not really get into it until March tourny time. Someone who follows things more closely can probably pin point what coaching changes have led to what is happening on the court now.

State won in spite of Bost...thanks to some decent 3 point shooting and some pretty good defense.

it has gotten worse cuz there is no roberts or austin in the middle on offense, yea varnado is a good shot blocker but he really lacks the presence inside on offense like they had. im not a huge fan of his coaching but he wins divisions and sec championships and i'm plenty happy with that
