I'm happy as long as I keep my feet warm and see a few birds. Well, I guess the feet getting cold isn't too bad, and I don't really have to see many birds. Any day on the river beats sitting at home, but it is better to have a little luck.

Opportunity makes me happy. All I can ask for is the opportunity. Whether I cease it or not, atleast I had the chance. No matter if it's a big old longbeard that's henned up or ducks dropping into a hole 100 yards from me, it's opportunity.
My wife thinks I should kill and bring home something everytime that I go hunting. With the dollar investment of hunting and hunting accessories, she expects for me to reap some benefits from my investments. I simply explain to her that it's not that I kill something everytime I go, it's simply going and enjoying the Creator's masterpiece. It's called hunting, not deer killing......

See Ducks ?
Kill Ducks ?
What da heck is a duck ?
Temps in the 30's & 40's would be a good for starters !
I wanna break some ice this year !
That would make me happy !
I'll worry about the ducks later !

I guess that I have reached the point that I would rather go with friends and see a few birds, have some opportunities, watch the dog work a little to me that is what it is all about. I really enjoy watching the dog work which means you have to take a few birds for that to happen. The dog and I both get a little frustrated if we are skunked for weeks on end, but all it takes in the anticipation of the next hunt to get me going again.
