Like someone else said tell tax collector you made the trailer and make up your own serial number. Cost about 20 bucks. I did just that a coupla months ago. Not a problem.

Just bought a tag for my boat trailer today...It cost me $110.00. That included getting a new title. To keep from paying back taxes, you will have to sign an affadavit stating that it was not used in the previous years and have it notorized.

I bought my tag a few months ago for my boat trailer and it cost me $25 in Bolivar County. It will probably cost different amounts in different counties. I didn't have to show anything. I told her it wasn't a titled trailer and that I bought it from an individual and she printed out the registration, I handed her $25, and she handed me the tag. She never asked about taxes or anything else.

You have recently decided to use it for various reasons !
You need a tag for it !
You have a Bill of sale in hand ! (hand written is fine ) !
You also have a serial number for trailer on bill of sale (any number you choose) !

No problem !

You DO NOT want to go THE, or any other route !

This leads to a question .

Why is Fed game warden enforcing a county tax law??

Leads me to another question.

Can you be cited out of state for a exp tag? Who gets the ticket proceeds?? Why?

I didn't catch his name but he is a short stocky fellow I'd guess in his late 20 to mid 30's. He was very repectful but did a check for everything and looked through our blind bags. Before he left to check another group, he asked if I intended on hunting there again. I told him probably so. He said, you'll need a boat trailer tag if you do. Consider this a verbal warning. I thought to himself, maybe I won't be back. :o

Same guy gave us the same "spill", although, he wrote out warning tickets! Kinda picky if you ask me! Seems to me like he needs to be writing tickets for game and fish laws instead of writing traffic tickets. Make sure your shat is up to spec before running into this guy cause he seems to be looking for a reason to write a ticket.

I just dont get it, some of you law folks chime in on this but can this guy write you a ticket for a traffic violation.
It just seems to me that he doesnt have a dog in that hunt.
