GH22, you said you made the adjustment before going to the field, I must assume you shortened your buttstock.

I dunno. I can't shoot well in a bulky coat, so I don't wear bulky coats, or swap recoil pads.

I'll admit that the bulky coat does change your normal shooting ways, but I just learned to adjust to it. And no I didn't change my stock or recoil pad.

Anatidae, a good shooter can adjust to situations dealing with clothing. During my 20 day limit spree I wore that jacket everyday, and I didn't effect my shooting because I was able to adjust to it. I guess older people have a harder time changing. I will admit that the coat is heavy, but you left out the fact that the browning hydro-fleece is heavy as hell also, just a different type of material. I love to see people having to shake off like a dog when that hydro-fleece gets covered in water. Dixie Boy, I have come to the conclusion that are pissed at me because I got 25 days off for vacation, and killed a limit on 20 of those days. It pays to still be in college, by the way, did you ever graduate from high school or get your GoodEnoughDiploma??? Was that the 20-day spree where you killed 12 ducks a day because that was your daily 'possession' limit?

When I go duck hunting, I generally have a hard enough time trying to hit the target.....damn if I want to worry about having to ADJUST something else. I guess I'm not as good a shooter as you are.

I killed 12 ducks one day during that period, but honestly I could kill 50/day and no one would know otherwise. You don't make the adjustment in the field, you make it before going to hunt. It was a $200 jacket marked half-priced, and I bought it, so sue me. And they are still making the Whistling Wings jackets so I guess someone besides me likes them also.

Jr. P:

Where do you see the Widgeon Quad Parka for $89.99 at Sierra? I see it for 129.95, I guess I'm not in the right spot...

Obviously, we're talkin' 'bout two different jackets (Whistling Wings), here HH22.

Yeah, someone that waits 'til the night before duck season opens, to find a jacket....and his Dad only gave him a hundred bucks.

The guys at MO didn't just drop off a turnip truck.....and they don't PUSH products they don't use, themselves. 'You really think they gonna keep makin' a product when they got 75 of'em (at half price, with 3 years of dust on'em) on a closeout rack, 'cause they can't GIVE'em away? Yeah, right!

Exactly how DO you adjust to such a bulky coat, prior to going hunting......other than loose 30 pounds? (This oughta be good)

Boy, you amaze me!.....the 'come-back' KING!

Hey, I've got some Shadowgrass/branch/treehouse/whatever boat seats....maybe you could wear one of them and try shooting. I mean, after all, it IS shadowgrass! BWAAAHHAhahahaha!

I wish you had it here, too.....I'd love to see that!
