I really enjoyed seeing the show- there was some strong competition and i'll bet the scores were close.
The highlight of the entire event was the meat comp because i got to witness the famous Swamprooter boogie.

I don't know if this is the technical name for it or not. He may call it the Quiver River shiver or the Hollyridge hoe down but it was something to behold. It is well choreographed combination of headbobs, electric slide, moonwalk, and spins that are a site to behold. Truely a work of art.

If they gave a prize for passion-Swamprooter would have won without a doubt!!!!!!!

Congrats to Josh for winning the State title. You own Shaw. Congrats to Brett also. Some fine calling. Brooks sounded great and your day will come. Tj was nailing it in the regional until the pig squealed. Swamprooter, it was a pleasure to meet and talk with you. A lot of fun in the delta.

Thanks Mike. I am still on cloud 9. Words can't express the emotions felt after hearing your name called as the winner of Mississippi State Duck Calling Contest! I owe a huge thanks to Greg Hood for spending countless hours with us in the shop.
Props to my boy Brett for taking 3rd in the state after only 3 months of competition calling. Truly impressive!
Great day for SGC, 1st and 3rd in the state!

Don't remember the kids name but he calls for White Eagle out of Bartlett,Tn.
He was strong for a 17 yr old. He made it to the 2nd round in either the regional or state- i can't remember which one it was. He is a strong lad! We will probably see him again in the future.

Someone just called me and said his name was Tyler Brashers or something like that. They said he made it to the second round of the Regional! I looked on calling ducks and it says he is from Lonoke, Arkansas!

We are gonna work on that. He got to hear some awesome calling and he is pumped (still chicken but pumped). He has a year to build up his nerves. Hopefully his momma won't run him out of the house before then.

Team SGC really showed out yesterday...except for me
Raggio and Brett both had outstanding days, and I am so proud for both of yall! I know how hard Josh has been practicing, and it was well deserved, great job man.
It was good to meat you Pete, both you and TJ are great callers, and both of you were in the hunt to punch a ticket at what seemed to be a fairly tough regional and state contest. Hope to see you guys in a couple weeks.
