Brotha you ain't got no idea how good you've got it. When I was 17 I got a ticket back home in Virginia for doing 80 in a 55 after picking up some of my buddies from a party.

The judge issued the following verdict:

1) Suspended license until the completion of the following...
2) Driving school (30 mins. from my house, to be attended with my mother/father)
3) An HOUR of community service for every mile per hour I was traveling...that's right...80 hours of community service.
-please allow me to expand on my "community service"

I spent my entire winter break at the county dump. Shoveling household/human/wild game waste (it was deer season) that fell out of the compactor before they could reseal it everytime a truck came to take a load away....

Do your 10 hours, learn or don't learn your lesson and be thankful your winter won't be spent like mine years ago.

Without instructions it hard to figure out the top from the bottom on those signs...

I think I would have just paid the ticket too.

I am not too far removed for my teenage yrs to remember driving fast. I think it was excessive,.

Driving school on Saturday and the ticket should have been enough for a first offense and before anyone says something about having children and I will change my mind.. blah blah blah. I have 2.

I got an 84 gt to go up against that ss. :D

Driving school may keep the ticket off his record. I expect that is pretty important to the person paying for insurance...Dad!

Wreckless driving back in the day was 20mph over. Did they change it to 15? If they did he's letting you off pretty good. They usually do force community service to get out of those. I remember my buddy having to wash police cars at the station.

hmmm. Not too far removed from teen years w 2 children. I answered a call one night to a one car wreck. Got there. Found 3 teenagers laying peacefully. Thought they were asleep... oh yeah, it's a wreck. That's why I saw that car split in half from hittin' that tree. All three dead. Cause... speed. I think about that scene all the time. I'm far removed from my teens and have teens. Hopefully it will never happen to mine, yours, or anyone elses... but we know better, don't we? The most insignificant decision we make sometimes becomes the one that affects the rest of our lives. We raise our kids to make good decisions knowing they're gonna make bad one's and just pray the bad decisions don't kill them. Blah, blah, blah...?

Got my first speeding ticket when I was 19. I had slowed down to 72 in a 55 when he clocked me. Called the Judge cause he was in Sunday school class with my mother...he told me that I had to pay it, so I did. Thought he was teaching me a lesson and it would have.
State Farm was who taught me a lesson. My insurance went up to $7800 per year!

I say if you knew you were speeding and obviously you indeed did, just take it as a blessing. I have paid a wreckless driving ticket, and it is worse on insurance than a DUI. Had the Judge been a real hard booty he would have made you pay it and it would have drivin your insurance up to were you couldn't afford to drive anyway. If you didn't get dropped by the Insurance provider.
Damn, i thought I had that one

Is that buddy of yours tryin to blow that call or make love to it?
